My fave in Almere - Edit
This place is cute and relaxed and the staff is friendly. Since October 2023, there are new owners and they’re hospitable. You need to order and pay immediaty at the counter.
Read moreThe menu doesn’t change that much, which is a pity. However, they do offer high-teas that contain items they don’t sell normally (like sandwich with ‘chicken’ curry salad and ‘paté’.
There are several tasty dishes, like chili-cheeseburger, sushi bowl, kapsalon, broodje kroket, banana bread (nutty) blueberry muffin and lemon/poppy cake. Sometimes their pies are a bit dry and too sweet, but I like their carrot cake and cherry/choco pie the best. Quite nice are red velvet, Oreo, Speculoos, snickers and lemon/choco. However, I don’t like their choco-chip cookie that much, because it lacks some flavour. I tried their christmas cookie, which doesn’t have added sugar and it’s quite nice.
Their drinks are nice as well, e.g. Soof lemonade, chai latte and hot cocoa with whipped cream (with real chocolate).

Das ist vielleicht der einzige Kritikpunt, sie haben Tomaten und Zwiebeln etc erst bei der Bestellung geschnitten, Das könnte man vorher vorbereiten; vielleicht war an dem Tag vorher viel los und bereits alles leer. #Veganuary

Iedere keer weer perfect! Soms gaan we hier alleen koffie of thee drinken met een heerlijk stuk taart. Gisteren hebben we kapsalon en een broodje kroket (bitterbal) gegeten. Het was weer heerlijk! Het is een genot om een hele menukaart te zien waar alleen maar vegan opties opstaan.

Came here for lunch with a non-vegan Dutch friend and he said the vegan bitterballen is identical to the traditional meat-based version! We both enjoyed our meal. Cozy atmosphere in town center.

The food was so good at this place. I ordered the special ‘Floriade’. The sweet potato fries with rendang flavored beetroot was delicious. The brownie and banana bread looked mouthwatering good as well, but the ordered dish filled me up too much to have one of the other snacks. Would definitely come back to taste those as well 😍🫶🏼.

Ik raad de bitterballen echt aan!! Die waren heerlijk krokant en perfect van smaak. Ook de curry kokossoep met linzen is een echte aanrader perfect van smaak en een beetje pittig.
