Focaccia Avocado Toast

Loved the avocado on focaccia! I also got a trail mix giant vegan cookie and while a bit dry by itself, was great accompanying my vegan chai latter!

Pros: Vegan baked goods, Coconut and oat milk options, Vegan items on menu

Cons: Small tables

Not that awesome, sorry.

Not a huge avo toast person, so I just ordered a latte and a jam cookie. Both were a bit underwhelming and expensive. It's nice that there's a few vegan options around, but still... I was honestly a bit disappointed after all the rave reviews

Good breakfast spot

They have some vegan pesto avocado toast on focaccia bread and yummy vegan pastries. I recommend the blueberry crumble bar.

Pros: Good coffee and pastries

Cons: Only a few vegan options , Pretty expensive for a breakfast place

An Alaskan vegan oasis!

After a peek at the menu online, I knew I had to give this place a shot.
I convinced my group to trek down to the gorge for breakfast and we were not disappointed.

The location is small, but there’s ample outdoor seating. Inside is cramped, so I suggest sitting outside if possible. Plus, the view is unbeatable.

I ordered the avocado toast on focaccia; I was unsure if focaccia was naturally vegan, but the waitress was quick to address my concerns and asked, in the back of the house, for me. They were generous with their avocado and the fresh basil spread was deliciously smooth.

I ordered an iced coffee with hemp milk, but received coconut. When I asked the waitress, she apologized profusely. I told her it was fine and I didn’t want to waste the coffee; she told me to come back when I was finished for a free hemp iced coffee.

Lastly, I ordered a vegan berry oat bar and snagged a local kombucha for the road. The berries were fresh and the oats had a hint of sweet, perfect for a long day of travel.

Overall, my entire party was satisfied with their meals, and I was no exception. The wait staff is friendly and accommodating. This is a must visit if you’re down in Denali.

Pros: Plenty of vegan options overall, Great food & service, Beautiful views

Cons: Lack of vegan breakfast entrees
