Handy spot / cheap

Really handy that soon a do vegan options, it’s great because you can nip in and the vegan selection is clearly labelled on the menu and it’s affordable and you know what to expect. The drinks are also labelled vegan which isn’t something you find many places! Wonderful. Their quorn nuggets are great!

Run of the Mill

I’m not keen on seeing Wetherspoons on Happy Cow but seeing it’s on I can admit to having eaten here on a number of occasions over the years, usually for the Thursday curry night or the odd Sunday dinner once a year or so. Vegans are catered for, the beer’s OK and the prices are great. Just a shame it’s taking business from the independent places. The location in the Gala area of Durham is nice but probably best to avoid it during peak periods as it can get rowdy in there.

Pros: Location , Plenty of seating, Vegan options

Cons: Gets extremely busy at weekends
