Great food, accommodating staff, one vegan option Sunday

On a Sunday, as of 2023 there was one Vegan option on the Sunday dinner menu but it was excellent.

Other reviews mention an extensive vegan menu, this may have been the case in the past or on different days, but as of 2023, one option on Sunday. Highly recommended however, well done staff!

Pros: Excellent Nut Roast Vegan Option, Beautiful Pub, Accommodating and attentive staff

Cons: Only one Vegan option

Nut loaf was very salty

Loved the picturesque garden setting of this beautiful country pub. It was great to see them offering a vegan menu however my Sunday roast nut loaf was so salty, I was drinking for hours afterwards. Also vegan desserts were unexciting. A crumble can easily be made with vegan butter & served with soya custard. I do hope they read & act on reviews as I would like return if they improve the food quality.

Pros: The picturesque black & white building , Vegan menu, Tables in beautiful outdoor gardens

Cons: Food was highly salted , Poor unimaginative vegan desserts, Too many potatoes & too few vegetables

Great vegan menu

A really lovely country pub (the type that I feel would usually have 1 vegan option, but this has a whole menu!) the tofish and chips are really yummy and a generous portion. Only thing I would improve is the deserts- the STP is very basic and the crumble was just oats and fruit. Other than this the mains etc are really great!

Pros: Own vegan menu, The ‘fish’ and chips is amazing , Gorgeous country pub

Cons: Vegan deserts leave a lot to be desired

Gorgeous Pub

Such a beautiful pub with welcoming staff. Separate vegan menu with great options. My Nan and myself ordered the jackfruit burger which was a great choice. Looking forward to our next visit!

Great vegan menu

Ask for the vegan menu when you arrive and you’ll get to choose between at least three dishes for each course! I had the jackfruit burger - while it was delicious, I do wish that it had come with a sauce as it was a bit dry. I asked if they had any vegan mayo or similar, and nothing was available. The sweet potato fries were amazing too

Pros: Vegan menu

Cons: Expensive

Separate vegan menu with plenty to choose from and delicious!

Went here after a morning at Tatton Park and looking for somewhere with a vegan menu, we weren’t disappointed. We arrived at 12:30 on Easter Monday and it was easy to get a table and we didn’t have to wait for food, but it was getting busy when we left so would be an idea to book ahead.

Staff were very friendly and accommodating. Would definitely go back to try more! I had the jackfruit burger which was a fairly standard patty with a crispy coating, sweet potato fries were excellent, my wife had the tofu battered “fish and chips”, the tofu wasn’t marinated, but the batter tasted great and it was a delicious meal.

Pros: Separate vegan menu, Good selection of pub food, Beautiful location

Delicious Vegan Options

I had the Thai curry with tofu absolutely delicious. Really lovely surroundings. Quite a few vegan options. Stuffed aubergine, tofu “fish” and chips as well vegan starters and deserts. Great service.

Pros: Gorgeous gardens., Beautiful looking pub, Really tasty food

Cons: When in garden have to go to bar to order.
