Several options, lovely staff

I'm surprised the other reviews are this negative. I was happy to see they had several vegan options (apart from the desserts for which indeed they only offer one option). The amount was good and as a tourist, it was nice to get food that felt fitting for an English restaurant. Warm, comfort food. The price was in line with the other dishes and feels to be expected for such a touristy area, though I can understand why that's considered a lot by others

Nice food, very small portions

Went for the vegan Wellington. The food was nice. The staff were very friendly. However, the portions very small and £18. Limited vegan options. Only pudding option was sorbet. I would unlikely go back.

Definitely getting better

The only pub for miles and it DOES have a vegan option! At lunchtime it was a plant based burger and rice pudding for desert.

Disappointing

I was so looking forward to this place and even though it was nice to get away from the cold winds, this place put a downer on the day. Firstly, the “plenty” of vegan options which I have read elsewhere isn’t true. I’d hardly call two salads “plenty” plus come on, salads??!! They only had one vegan dessert and I’m not joking when I say it came out as a slither no bigger than my thumb (a complete joke when it cost the same as my husband’s apple pie which was massive). The place was also freezing and staff completely disinterested.

Pros: Nice seating and decor , Working toilets

Cons: Limited vegan options - i.e. salad. , Tiny vegan portions which cost the same , Freezing cold
