Delicious curry! - Edit
The Bay always have a couple of vegan options - last year I had a burger which was delicious and this year they offer a falafel and olive salad or a curry which is soooo delicious and not very spicy so good for all palates!

Down in the hood - Edit
RHB is a tough place for vegans to be, but there were a few options here such as a sweet potato, chickpea curry and an Indian mezze.
Read moreWe didn't fancy either but we did get the kids meal for our son and some chips for us to share. The chips were really good to be fair, as was the kids meal of chips, beans and quorn nuggets.
Staff are friendly, tunes are great and the views are stunning.

Amazing vegan curry with all the bits - Edit
We had an amazing vegan sweet potato and chickpea curry, we ordered it with half and half chips and rice. I'd recommend doing this as the chips were unreal!
Read moreWe also ordered the Indian selection (bhajis, samosa and poppadom).
Very nice, recommend if you're in Robin Hood's Bay 👍
It's really busy in the evenings and they don't take bookings, so we had to hang around the bar waiting for a table.
Pros: Huge portions, Chips are lush, Vegan onion bhajis and samosas
Cons: Don't take bookings, Quite pricey

A last resort for food - Edit
Lovely place for a beer and awe inspiring views over the North Sea coast. I wouldn’t say go for food though unless all other options have been exhausted.

Expensive and disappointing - Edit
One vegan thing on the menu (which is better than nothing!) but their ‘curry’ is rubbish. Stewed veg in a very salty sauce with rice. Really overpriced too. Can’t recommend, though there are very few options in the area so at least it’s something.

Hearty pub food and a warm welcome - Edit
We were camping above Robin Hoods Bay and came down on a Friday evening for some food - the only place we could find that did anything vegan was the Bay Hotel. We would have had to eat there anyway, but we were really surprised and pleased with the offering! I had the vegan curry and rice, which was full of vegetables and coconut and hot, just what was needed on a rainy evening. My partner had the vegetarian sausage and giant Yorkshire pudding (vegetarian, not vegan) and was really impressed with it. They also had a great selection of real ales and a real welcoming British pub feel. The menu actually marked the vegan options, so we felt confident that the chef knew what it meant. Obviously, as a mainstream pub, they also serve lots of meat, fish and chips etc, so if this bothers you, don't go there.
Read morePros: Warming, hearty food, Clear menu, Good atmosphere
Cons: Only one vegan option, Dog-friendly (this could be a good thing for you!)
