A nice pub with lovely views

Lovely pub near the harbour on St Mary's. There is a restaurant and also an undercover outside seating area. We booked a table and when we arrived I said I was vegan and was told there was a separate vegan/veggie menu. The "normal" menu includes a Houmous & Pumpkin Seeds Salad and a South Indian Vegetable Curry as well as various sides and a sorbet which are all labelled suitable for vegan. The vegan menu had more options than this. When my meal came it did not have the advertised coriander flatbread. When I asked why I was told it was not vegan-although on the main menu if was listed as vegan with the bread included. So I would recommend telling the waiter/waitress you are vegan to ensure your meal is definitely suitable for vegans.

Revisited 2024
A smoked tofu masala is now
On the menu, which is very well presented and delicious!
Still has vegan fish and chips, a burger and sorbet. Pleasant place to hang out. Friendly staff!

What a view, good options and great service

We didn't know to Pre-order at the bar and so climbed to the top terrace. Our waiter, Logan, was fabulous. He ran up and down the stairs, placed our order for us, then brought it all up to us.

Lots of options. I tried the vegan fish and chips made with banana blossoms. I don't usually eat fried food but this was soooo good.

Pros: Excellent service, Great view, Yummy food

Cons: Could add some umbrellas , Better signage needed so you know to order

Pleasant dinner

Nice spacious bar and restaurant, dog friendly, good wine, we both opted for the banana blossom fish and chips, not the best I have had but still good. The other vegan main course was a laksa with smoked tofu. Nice foccacia and olives to start; somewhat bizarrely not a single pudding on the menu was available!

Charming central pub with good views

On the lunch menu we had two of the Beetroot and Falafel wraps, better than your supermarket effort but could had a little more in it, a Feta and Basil salad sans feta was plentiful and two bowls of the chunky chips..a must for any table.

Check Barnivore website for advice on the beers and ale. Tribute (unfortunately) isn’t vegan from cask

Pros: More choice than would be expected

Cons: Only oak milk for hot bevs

Decent pub grub

We visited the Atlantic Inn in September 2020. Due to COVID 19, the menu was limited and had one vegan dish, a thai yellow curry with tofu and rice. It was decent for pub grub and if you like a glass of wine with your meal, the wine list has vegan wines marked.
