Not sure to be honest - Edit
I had a meal from here before and thought it was lovely a few years ago. Today I had the vegan gyros, and it was nice but nothing extraordinary. The portion definitely got smaller too.

YUMMY!! - Edit
Hungry in Bristol? This place is a must try! My favourite is ‘the beast vegan gyros box’ which contains seitan gyros, vegan halloumi fries, pitta, chips and a gorgeous salad with dressing! Honestly 10/10 Huge portions and soooo good. You won’t regret it 😋

Obsessed - Edit
Absolutely love the Athenian, my only complaint is such a lack of consistency with having the sweet potato fries available… otherwise cannot fault it

Must try vegan halloumi! - Edit
The vegan halloumi is to die for, I get it every time either in a wrap or as a side. The actual wrap and salad is pretty standard but it does the job in filling you up. Croquettes are decent too. Would definitely recommend for a causal, satisfying meal.

Very tasty and filling - Edit
This restaurant is part of a collection of restaurants in shipping containers called Cargo - a cool venue that's definitely worth a visit. I went with my girlfriend and we spent a while looking at the menu on the front window - there's an extensive range of vegan options including wraps, boxes, sides and dips. In the end we went for The Beast Vegan Gyros Box. There's limited seating (only seats about 6 or 7) but everyone else was ordering takeaway so we got to sit down. I was a little concerned what the portion sizes would be like after reading some of the other reviews but those fears were unfounded - it was super filling! The boxes contained a seitan gyros (and lots of it!), violife halloumi (which I love!), pitta, fries and salad, and came with an aubergine dip. The food was all very tasty and very satisfying. Even after I saw it I didn't realise how filling it was going to be but I was very full at the end - definitely worth the money! The only issue was that there wasn't enough of the delicious aubergine dip. I'd recommend ordering extra dip with your box and not doing what we did, which was to order extra fries to get more dip! The extra fries were hot and delicious but halfway through the gyros box it was clear that extra fries were definitely not needed (although they got devoured nonetheless!). That hiccup aside I was very satisfied with my meal and I look forward to visiting again!

Gave meat by mistake - Edit
I ordered a seitan wrap and had chicken instead (only noticed after biting in). They called to apologise and promised full refund and free next order but failed to deliver and then stopped contact for follow up. Real shame, would have given them another chance but bad feeling now (and nausea from the accidental chicken).

Good taste, small portion, not enough salad - Edit
Had the V halloumi wrap, oregano fries, v halloumi fries and v chicken with the mayo and aubergine dips. The wrap was disappointing as it was tiny and filled with fries and there was barely any salad, felt a bit like a rip off for almost £8. The chicken was good as well as the dips, halloumi fries were a bit floppy (£6.50 not worth it) and the oregano fries were OK. Could be better with a bit more effort.

So yummy - Edit
The 3 vegan wraps (seitan gyros, tomato croquettes, fried mushrooms) are all so delicious and really reasonably priced. The portion sizes are definitely on the larger size and you get really good value for money!
