Barely any vegan options

Just one vegan option on the menu since they’ve relocated😒

No/few vegan options

The southington location has been relocated to a golf course. The new menu there is incredibly limited and has no vegan options on it — they offered to make a vegan burger that wasn’t on the menu but we just left since it was drastically different from what was offered on their website.

Lots of vegan options!

I was passing through the area and we stopped here. They have a lot of vegan options it seems. I got the vegan Mac and it was super delicious and flavorful.

It was OK

The vegan review: The server was lovely and the vibe was neat, but the vegan Mac and cheese was kinda bland and more like plain noodles than sauce. Chai with almond milk was nice, but not as strong as I had hoped.

The non-vegan review: had the papa pig, which was a whole mess of confusion. Sweet waffles and maple bacon mixed with eggs, peppers, a small puddle of thousand island dressing and a TON of franks red hot. The flavors didn’t mix very well at all. My latte was very good though!

On the pricey side

Avocado toast not vegan?!

I ate here for breakfast as it was suggested on the app when I said "breakfast near by". I ordered the avocado toast not realizing challah bread contains egg. I suppose it's my fault for assuming the waitress would have said something since I ordered it topped with a vegan patty and ordered oatmilk with my coffee. A normal person would ask "Are you vegan because this isn't vegan". There are NO vegan breakfast options. I seriously thought I was safe with avocado toast. Maybe lunch is better?

While writing this review the waitress came over to ask how my food was. I told her I didn't know the bread was made with egg and I'm vegan. She apologized, but told me that don't have any vegan breads. I don't know why this place popped up when I searched for vegan breakfast. I'm pretty upset tbh

Outrageously delicious

The Art of Yum will make everyone in your party happy. I’ve enjoyed their food at a large catering event, and at both their Waterbury and Southington locations. It’s always wonderful. Most recently I ordered their Vegan Mac and Cheese. The veggies were fantastic- fresh, crispy, and sweet. The sauce was creamy and delicious. We ordered a few sides- the plantains were cooked in little to no oil, and were perfectly seasoned. It’s the first time in a long time I had plantains cooked in a light and healthy way.

The ordering app said the order would be ready in thirty minutes, but it was ready and waiting fifteen minutes later. I cannot recommend The Art of Yum enough- I tried to give five stars, but Happy Cow reserves that rating for restaurants that are completely vegetarian or vegan.

If you’re on a road trip, the easier location to get on and off the highway to may be the Waterbury one, but both are close to Route 84.

Pros: Most delicious vegan food you’ll ever have, You can have breakfast all day, They have a meal box plan

Cons: There are no cons! They’re the best.
