No one else eqting in the restaurant while we were there (Saturday lunch) so no ambience at all. (A couple of couples are outside)
So against a backdrop of a failing business, hopefully someone buys and keeps up with the vegan and veggie focus, because I’m the chef can clearly do it.
Pros: The vegan ‘fish and chips were good, The pub’s quite an interesting little setup
Cons: Feels like the business is failing., Service terrible, Some dishes (eg hummus and veg bruschetta) awful

If you want to stop in a more rural suburban area for a quiet dinner or lunch definitely come to this place. They have friendly staff and all the food is made fresh. Definitely recommend the vegan fish and chips and vegan garlic cheesy bread!

I had the Malaysian tofu satay starter followed by the Thai veggie burger and both were very tasty. No room for dessert so I can’t comment on that.
Will definitely be going again.

Lovely welcoming pub, great vegan options - Edit
Stopped here en route to the lakes from Kent, it's a good halfway point, really close to the M40 and a much lovelier place to stop for lunch than the motorway services. The staff were really welcoming, it's dog friendly and they have great vegan options on the menu, which is why we chose to stop here. We had a really delicious lunch. We'll visit again.

Excellent vegetarian and vegan options - Edit
Lovely pub with a separate vegan menu. Impressive range of vegan starters, mains and desserts which was a pleasant surprise after many pubs with just one or two vegan options. There was a peanut parfait dessert which was the best dessert I've had for some time! I'm only sad it's no longer on the menu. The non-vegans in my group all loved their meals too.

Just having lunch here, the harissa Tofu is to die for! So many vegan options! And our hostess Tracy was amazing and very vegan friendly. It’s a lovely location too, 17th c pub!
