great food - Edit

Often go there for their half price Wednesdays. The food is good and the place tends to have some dogs wandering around :)

Favourite vegan food in Nottingham - Edit

Been many times and the food never dissapoints. Best „fish” and chips I have ever had in my life. A lot of choices, so anyone can find what they like. 50% off on all food on Wednesday makes it one of the cheapest places for vegan food in the city. I adore the vibe of the place and could recommend to anyone who would like to try tasty vegan food.

Pros: A lot of options in the menu, with a lot of creati, Homemade taste of all meals, Affordable price

Cons: Occassionally uninformed staff

Good vegan selection - Edit

They didn't have any vegan pies, and they said with the 'steak' they were trying out different things, the latest was a falafel-like vegetable steak. I opted for the fish and chips, I'd never had beer-battered tempeh before! I don't often go for vegan fish options on menus as I was never much a fan of actual fish but this one didn't mention any seaweed or spices and when it came it didn't taste really fishy.

There are enough options to allow you not to get bored with the menu. They have lots of craft beer as well, though I only asked about a couple of them as to whether they were vegan or not. There was an in-house IPA I tried which I found a little bitter and I wouldn't get again (Calypso?) but then I'm often underwhelmed by IPAs. They have enough drinks I'm sure there must be a few vegan ones. Would be good with their attention to detail on food if they had an obvious vegan drinks menu.

So the Angel is the sister pub to the Alley Café which is how I knew about it and ohhhhhhh my lord I wish I had found it sooner! It's a lovely place with good music, good pub food and a decent fishless finger sandwich!

Cons: little bit too loud (I'm a teenage grandpa tho

lovely food - Edit

Found this by accident as the Alley café closed early one night and directed us here. loads of veggie and vegan options in mains and desserts, not the quickest service so we didn't have chance to sample desserts as we had a show to get to.The only downside is the portion sizes were maybe a little on the small side.

Pros: lots of options

Cons: small portions

Everything available vegan! - Edit

Alt pub with everything on the menu available as 'herbivore' or 'carnivore' including vegan fish and chips, steak and chips, pie and chips, pasta with meatballs etc. They also do full vegan dessert options including cheesecake, tarte tatin and brownies served with vegan ice cream. They also serve soya lattes etc. Excellent food and atmosphere.

Pros: Vegan main meals, Vegan desserts, Soya lattes etc
