Delicious - Edit
Separate vegan menu with so many options; mains, side dishes, rice and bread. We had passanda, madras, saag aloo and cauli bhaji and all were delicious! Lovely atmosphere and really friendly staff.

There's a special vegan menu if you ask for it. We had three different curry's and they were all delicious and very tasteful. I would love to come again. If HappyCow would allow it, i would have given 5 stars.

No idea why someone scored this 2 stars, if happy cow would allow i would give 5 stars but as its not solely vegan 4 stars is top i can give it. Staff friendly, professional and attentive. They picked up that we were vegan early on and stopped me from having a drink which contained milk and a dip with yogurt in. Amazing food so much flavour-highlight of the Canterbury trip for us!

The food was outstanding and the service was amazing. Not only was the food reasonably priced but there was also the perfect amount of food, (enough to fill you up). Overall I would highly recommend The Ancient Raj to anyone.

Some vegan options on the menu but not all staff is well informed about what is vegan rather than vegetarian. The food is pretty mediocre and bland, not what you typically expect from an Indian restaurant.

Great food, a lot of vegetarian options (I tried all of them). Definitely the best curry house for vegetarians in the area. Service always friendly. Parking space on the side of the restaurant.
