Great local health food store! - Edit
The Alt Mart is a great place to shop if you're a vegan/vegetarian, into organic food, or have a gluten intolerance. Essentially, a smaller version of Whole Foods. The owner, Mary, is very friendly, fun to chat with, and makes lots of great recommendations! She'll even order something for you if it's not in the store. The Alt Mart also carries fresh, organic, and locally-grown produce spring through fall (and whatever is available through their distributors), some of which includes citrus, berries, greens, flowers, and wheat grass trays. This shop is also great for buying cage-free eggs, dried beans, grains and nuts, vitamins, dried herbs/spices, cleansers, and obscure items such as teff flour, Tofutti, vegan vitamins, and Himalayan sea salt. The only con is that the Alt Mart's inventory changes from month-to-month, so be sure to stock up on your favorites! The Alt Mart is a hidden gem in the heart of N. Attleboro, where you'll find lots of goodies that will soon become dietary staples.
