soup was cold - Edit

Soup came out almost cold. not impressed and coffee was average. No toilet facility for customers. Been told by cashier to go to the cafe next door to use their toilet but got told off by owner despite asking nicely and ended having to buy something there to use their loo. Shouldn't have to put customers through that.

Pros: cakes look nice

Amazing choice and creative dishes - Edit

Wow what can i say. I am not a vegetarian or vegan but like to try different dishes and enjoy seeing how creative chefs can be with food. A problem the vegan community is all to familiar with. When it comes to vegetarian or vegan choices it can be difficult to find places that has variety beyond the fulafael and standard salads or typically dry and boring assortment of levaes and veg in a bowl and being told that's the only vegetarian/vegan option. I got word of that vegan cafe from several people and decide to try for myself. I entered with little to no expectations but was quickly I was amazed at that variety and creative dishes they offered. From I walked in my palette began to water at the deserts on display. They staff were extremely insightful in helping me with choices and recommended meals based on what my preference was knowing I was not vegan but open to trying new things. To steal a quote that on line media has spawned "they were on fleek" they served up a treat in chicken pea curry, the only downfall was that the plate was empty to quickly as I could not get enough quick enough, the portion was generous and just the right amount. Such great culinary skills were used to cook it that it's a dish I could eat once or twice a week every week and not get bored. Then the desert chocolate cake which was devine and no crumb was spared or wasted. Washed down after with a coconut latte , again. At the recommendation of the staff. This is one cafe that is on the up. Beautifully and simply presented it does not try to be anything fancy or pretentious. It is well laid out and gives an option I have not seen before, a vast choice of tantalising and gourmet food that is rivaled in the vegertian/ vegan community and options within a restaurant. I heavily recommend this place. Go and marvile at their menu . Why have I not seen or heard of creative places like this in Belfast. 5/5

Pros: Creativw dishes , Great value , Very clean.

Great cruelty free food - Edit

I am so happy that there is a cafe exclusively for vegans because it is hard to find a good vegan meal. I had a fry for the first time in years and it was really great. The vegan sausages and eggs tasted great and I was full for hours afterwards. I also had the mango cheesecake which was equally great. It is really nice inside and the staff were nice and friendly.

Never Has A Place Been More Deserving Of Five Stars - Edit

Called into That Vegan Café on Monday 21 November 2016, purely out of curiosity. I was delighted to find a bright, welcoming interior which is modern but cosy. There was a menu on the wall listing a range of warming dishes e.g. soup, cooked breakfast, quiche, curry, firecracker tofu and burgers - wonderful to see on such a cold, winters day. I grabbed a table and a Waitress took my order of Quiche with side salad. After a short wait of about 15 minutes (not bad given how busy they were) I was served my food. It was absolutely delicious, fresh, flavourful, tasty and filling. On my way out I paid at the counter and couldn't resist a Black Forest Cup Cake to take away, which was scrumptious later that day with a cup of tea.

Whilst there I noticed a lot of people calling in to buy food to takeaway for lunch. Vegan Café offer a range of sandwiches, bars, cheesecakes and sweet treats in addition to hot meals. The food was so fantastic I will definitely be a regular at this little cafe. I also hear rumours that they plan to trial occasional BYOB late-night openings, so customers can have an evening meal along with a glass of wine. I'll be one of the first to book a table for such an evening and am looking forward to introducing my friends and family to this place. Never has a place been more deserving of five stars...

Perfect space for small groups - Edit

This is a lovely cafe in a very relaxed and friendly space. The food was very tasty: I really enjoyed the Firecracker tofu, potato salad and delicious caramelised apple scones. There is a great selection of tea and coffee.

Great little cafe! - Edit

The staff and owners were all really lovely and food and coffee was great! I met for coffee with my mum to give her her 3 month late birthday present, the owner was sitting beside us and overheard and gave her a free happy birthday dessert which was so thoughtful and generous! Such a lovely atmosphere :) can't wait to try everything on the menu!
