closed! Out of business!

Don’t waste your time. This restaurant is now Roosters. Not a vegan establishment at all!

Love That Hummas Place

I would have given 5 stars but could only give 4 stars per rules of Happycow......to get 5 stars must be 100% vegan. I visit my friend in Frederick, MD. One of my favorite places is That Hummus Place. Food is fresh, food is delicious, staff is super friendly and lots of vegan options. Top ratings, highly recommend.

Great for a quick lunch

My mom and I stopped by here for a late lunch one day. It’s simple wraps and such in a sort of cafe style. My mom doesn’t eat oil, sugar, or salt at home, but is more lenient when she goes out, but she thought there was quite a bit of excess oil in her food. I was fine with mine! I really enjoyed it! I have only been here once, though, so if I get to go again, I’ll update further.

Delightful Surprise

I came in here after noticing the sign on the door advertised vegan options. When I went in, the employee seemed very knowledgeable and pointed me to three vegan options on the menu. This was wonderful because oftentimes, employees who work in restaurants that serve animal products can get confused or upset when asked about vegan options. Happily, this wasn't the case here! Although two of the menu items were the same thing with different names, I do appreciate the fact that these choices were available at all! My meal was decent and I would absolutely go there again/recommend it to any vegan or vegetarian.

Pros: vegan options listed on menu, decent customer service

Cons: serves animal products

The next time you are looking for good hummus in Frederick, travel further down Market Street to Hippy Chick Hummus. They don't serve meat and have several other menu items including but not limited to smoothie bowls, falafel, and tacos.

love this place

I️ called to place a takeout order and asked them to put together their best options for 3 dinners... 1 vegetarian. It was fantastic!

You'll be glad you went

This is one of my new favorite spots for a quick and delicious vegan meal. I highly recommend the falafel, as well as the hummus and eggplant. Not fussy, and tastes great.

My new go-to in Frederick

Really great place to eat! Highly recommend. I had the eggplant/hummus wrap with sweet potato fries and the coconut/lemon drink. Everything was wonderful. You should go.

Excellent felafel

The place is small, so I'd suggest takeout, but the food is great. I would definitely suggest the felafel. It's made on the spot and tastes great. This is my go to for Mediterranean in the Frederick area

Get the Falafel!

Scrumptious falafel, speedy service, and friendly staff. The pickled cauliflower is the bomb dot com. As is the case with most delicious things, your sandwich will be super messy, but entirely worth it. I suggest growing a beard to catch all the tasty bits that fall out. Others may simply opt for a napkin. Different strokes and such.

Pros: Great service, Plenty of vegan options, Healthy

Cons: Not entirely vegan, but hey, it's close

Excellent Falafel

it's too bad the first reviewer didn't stay for the food as it is very good. The falafel is made on premises and everything is nice and fresh. The falafel itself may well be the best I have ever had including the the various NYC/NJ places where I have eaten. They will custom make your sandwich for you off of a salad bar type of display where you pick out what you want on it. Note that this is basically a carry out with a very few, small tables and chairs. My 5 start rating is based on the food.

Pros: Great Food, Helpful Staff

Cons: Seating leaves something to be desired, Wish it was farther north on Market St.

Store front

This is a tiny, take out buffet type place, no bathroom which is a plus when traveling.... 2 stools to eat upon. We did't stay.....
