Cheap eats near the river - Edit
A pretty standard com chay place - a selection of noodle soups and rice plates on offer. Not mind blowing food, but in a very local area, near the river, cool street atmosphere and bargain prices - perfect for backpackers or those travelling on a budget.

Visited this place early one morning after hopping off of a night train from Danang. There was a language barrier but the guy working used an app on his phone to explain that this is a vegan restaurant. He asked my partner and I if we liked rice and when we said yes he brought over two plates of rice with tofu, mock meat, potatoes, veggies and a side of soup. It wasn't the best meal ever but it was good and I'd definitely go back again if I was arriving in Ho Chi Minh by train.
