Love their veggie Thai yellow curry with tofu! Everything is made fresh so just request that they cook it without fish sauce and everything can be made veggie/vegan friendly :) vegetarian spring rolls are great too!

I called into Thai-tanic on Thursday 04.08.2016 to try out the tofu, as recommended by a friend and was not disappointed. Instead I'm only sorry not to have tried this little eatery before now. For lunch-time, during midweek this takeaway (which has a few tables for sit-ins) was quiet, no doubt due to it being summertime and thus nearby students and workers are away on holiday. Still, as well as myself, there were a few other diners there and I imagine Thai-tanic would be extremely busy when holiday season ends, as the food was fantastic.

I ordered Green Thai Vegetable Curry with tofu, plus a side of coconut rice. Along with a bottle of mineral water it cost me circa £7.50, which was a lunch-time special. Amazing value for such quality. My dish was cooked in an open kitchen, from fresh, and served piping hot in a generous portion. Flavours were immense and spices great - that strong, delicious spiciness which makes your nose run yet does not overpower more subtle flavours. Perfect.

I enjoyed every morsel and will definitely be returning for more. All items on the menu have a vegetable/ tofu option which is fabulous to see, so vegetarians have a superb selection to choose from. Thai-tanic also have delivery service available Thursday to Sunday, offer catering for events and run Thai cookery classes. Top marks for luscious food, friendly service and relaxed, unpretentious ambience. A delightful little noodle bar.
