Good option on the go

We stopped here for dinner and it was pretty busy. We had some soup and noodles. Servers knew what was vegan. The tofu vegetable soup was just about all I could get down but it was very palatable. I forgot to take pictures, so you’ll have to trust my word. Thai places always seem to pull through when you need them the most. Something in their soup soothed my soul and made me feel a little better about my future. Maybe it was the calories. Maybe it was the lack of animal secretions and flesh. At any rate, I would eat here again. Perhaps I’ll return when I’m whole and express my gratitude for a simple tofu soup that comforted me in my grief.

They also had clean bathrooms. Would poop again.

Very impressed

They have a super good menu of vegan and vegetarian options. Vegetarian ginger field with crispy tofu and it was delicious. The Spring rolls were so good too. The waitress was great and the service was super fast.

Pros: Lots of vegan and vegetarian options, Reasonable prices

The BEST Thai food I’ve ever had!

When the vegan restaurant next door was closed, my friend and I opted for this restaurant and I’m SO glad we did. The Massaman curry with tofu was incredible. Would give 5 stars if I could.

Pros: Lots of vegan options, Excellent curry, Fantastic service

Unfortunate Experience

I read a couple of positive Happy Cow reviews and went here with anticipation because the reviewers stressed that this place was vegan friendly. It is not. In fact, it's deceptive. Several dishes were marked on the menu as vegan, which initially made me happy. I ordered a rama dish with peanut sauce and tofu. The tofu tasted strongly of meat grease. I ate it anyway because I was quite hungry. Afterwards, I mentioned it to the server, and she said, "Oh, are you vegan? I replied "yes", and she said, "Oh, I wish I'd known! The peanut sauce has half and half in it and the rice is made with butter!" I told her that the entree was clearly marked as vegan on the menu, and her response was, "Oh, the owners don't really know what that means. They're learning. Next time, be sure to ask me." Needless to say, there won't be a next time.

Pros: Server was friendly.

Cons: See above.

Best Thai food I’ve had since Thailand!

Stopped in for a late lunch after reading favourable Happy Cow reviews. Although there was not a separate lunch menu that was vegan, our server reassured us they could make most dishes on the menu vegan. Our server was very friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating. Did not need to question her about fish sauce, eggs etc. as she readily volunteered which dish had these. The lunch combo was an excellent value and included a spring roll, Pad Thai and an entree (about 6 to choose from)with either extra vegetables or tofu for only 12.95. Very generous serving and was really delicious. Although we did not make a big deal about making sure the food was prepared vegan, when our server brought the food out she said she had watched them prepare the food fresh herself and it was definitely made vegan. (Restaurant wasn’t busy at 2pm!). Such a sweet gesture and really appreciated. Unfortunately we are just travelling through this area, otherwise we would go again often!

Pros: Lots of delicious vegan choices, knowledgeable servers about vegan choices, Reasonable prices

Cons: Too far from my home!

Favorite place to eat out in Mount Vernon

We are a vegan family of four and this is our "go to" for a meal out! The garden wraps are amazing, along with the curries. Just make sure you let them know you are vegan and they always take good care of you!

Pros: Delicious!

Cons: Parking can be challenging

Awesome vegan options!

The menu has a whole vegetarian section with LOTS of marked vegan options. I tried the spicy noodles with tofu and my brother had the yellow curry with tofu - both were delicious! 2 downsides: desserts and drinks (like Thai tea) were not marked if they are vegan friendly. Also the server was very nice but was the only one working a busy room. Other than that, I would definitely try them again next time I am in the area.

Pros: Lots of vegan options marked on the menu, Delicious

Cons: Desserts not marked if vegan friendly, Drinks (like Thai Tea) not marked if vegan

Best Vegan Thai in Skagit

We have been to this restaurant twice and both times we have left wanting to go back again. The fact that there is so many options for my family and I is amazing. The food is always good and the waitstaff is knowledgeable about the ingredients.

Pros: Lots of vegan options, Waitstaff is very patient and knowledgeable

Cons: Not fully vegan restaurant , Can be really busy
