Put chicken in curry

I ordered the regular yellow curry from this restaurant on DoorDash and there was no option to select any proteins, but the description did not say anything about it including meat at all, only listed the vegetables. Based on another review I saw here I picked the yellow curry since it is apparently the only one that doesn’t have fish paste. Well, it had a ton of chicken meat in it. If chicken is their default option ok I can understand, but please put that information somewhere so people aren’t duped when they try to order a vegetable curry.

Flavorful and absolutely vegan

My roommate and I placed an order for pick-up, with a note that I’m vegan and allergic to fish, shrimp, oysters, and shellfish. When we went to pick it up, the manager gave it to us personally and reassured us that the Massamun Curry with tofu, Pad Thai, Fried Tofu, and Spring Rolls (and the sauces with them) were prepared entirely vegan and fish/shellfish/etc.-free.

The food was wonderful, and since I didn’t die, I can confirm that none of the listed dishes were prepared with fish paste. The only complaint I have is that the curry only came with tofu, potatoes, and onions, and I’m used to tofu curries having other vegetables, too. If I was dining in, I’d have asked for half veggie, half tofu.

If you have special dietary restrictions, always talk to the manager, not just the server. If you don’t tell them, the default may not be vegan.

Curry not vegan

According to our server tonight 12/14/25 all curry has shrimp paste EXCEPT the yellow curry - fyi!
