Solid Affordable Veg Asian Option

I go to Eilat alot and this place is a mainstay. Some menu options are better than others, but overall. Thai Corner has a lot going for it.

Firstly, the location is great as it is close to the central bus station, but far enough from the promenade, that it feels like authentic Eilat and not a tourist trap.

Secondly, the place has a great shaded outdoor seating area (which is nice once it cools down), as well as a nice, small, clean air conditioned indoor restaurant.

Thirdly, this place has some weird situation where it is somehow is connected to the neighboring "Thai Way" which has different hours. but you can order from both menus.

Most importantly, they know how to cook basic Asian, with good sauces, and they do not cheap out on the tofu or veggies.

I like to start out here with the Vegan Vietnamese Egg rolls, which are Spring rolls wrapped in rice paper. While I've had better spring rolls than the 2 really small ones they give you here,, they are always fresh, wrapped beautifully and in the Eilat heat, pretty refreshing and tasty with their teriyaki sauce.

If you get one menu item here, my highest recommendation would be the Kata Tofu. It's served on a sizzling platter with Rice. Fresh peppers, Carrots, onions and other still crunchy vegetables. If you like tofu, it is jam packed with it, in a zesty and savory, moderately spicy sauce. For 47 shekels, you truly get your moneys worth on this one.

I;ve had some of the other dishes here, but the Kata Tofu really stands out.
The "Hom Mak Siam Tofu" is a slightly under average and weak Thai Coconut curry tofu.
The "Tofu Pad Thai' is pretty average, but if you are craving Pad Thai it gets the job done.
One of the other things I like about this place is they are flexible and will try to make most things Vegan for you, including (IF YOU ASK), taking out the egg from their dishes.

To be honest, if this place was in Tel Aviv, I doubt I would frequent it, as the quality is fairly average with the exception of a few standout dishes, but it's just better (and more Vegan friendly) then Eilat's other Asian restaurants.

As a tour guide, who often stays in hotels in Eilat that don't yet have enough Vegan protein options , this place is a mainstay to protein up on a delicious tofu meal over a cold Thai beer. With well cooked offerings, flavorful yummy sauces, and a relaxed atmosphere, it's a great place to end a day in Eilat.

Pros: Affordable W/Big Portions, Well cooked and delicious veggie stir fries, Kosher and Accommodating to Vegans!

Cons: Quality of main dishes is variable
