Confused staff but decent food

First of all, get yourself a comfy chair. This is a longer read.

Look, the food was nice. The serving was good, rice, veggies and tofu had a nice and aromatic flavour.

However, I have no idea if what I ate was vegan.
Allow me to explain.
When I first walked in there, I asked about the vegetarian dish of the week, and if it was easy to "veganify", the man at the till said "no, unfortunately not, because there's chicken stock in it."
I said, "excuse me, you have chicken stock in your vegetarian dish? You do realise that is made from chicken bones right?"
He then proceded to explain to me that no, I was clearly mistaken about that, and had no idea about how stock or bullion was made. Telling him that I have 10 years in the business and have worked as a chef unfortunately did not help. I asked him to Google how stock is made and please check the ingredients in the stock. He came back 10 seconds later, looking triumphant, and told me
"I have done some research, and there is no chicken in chicken stock. There is only vegetables, herbs, and shrimp."
I looked him in the eyes, hoping for a smile to show he was joking or that my ears were deceiving me, but alas, this man was dead serious.

So I gave up on the chicken-and-shrimp-stock vegetarian dish of the week and asked for something else from their vegan menu. He then told me that I could have everything except the pad Thai, because unfortunately they were out of vegan soy sauce.

Finally, we found a dish that (I hope) was vegan, and the taste was fine. While I would not recommend this place for its food. I can definitely recommend it for the experience!

Thai food

5-6 vegan options on the menu, all with tofu. Fresh mushrooms and vegetables, rich servings. How ever, the taste was quite bland so I asked for some soya sauce and they would charge me 15 kr extra for that…

Cons: Tiered (or bored) and unhelpful staff

Got eggs in vegan order.

The food was good. We ordered home delivery. However we discovered half way through our vegan pad thai that it had eggs in it. Had specifically ordered from the vegan page on their website and even typed as a comment that everything in our order had to be vegan.

Might be better to call and order to avoid misunderstandings but when I ordered it seemed perfectly safe since they even had a specific page for their vegan food.

Not a nice experience.

Cons: Eggs in vegan Pad Thai

Delicious food

Delicious food with an original twist to the restaurant. When I went here they played Thai reggae/SKA which was quite special to this restaurant visit. Not something you would expect! Very nice/friendly staff and super tasty food! My new to go place whenever I feeling for some pad thai or whatever. Quite big portions as well.

Pros: Friendly staff, Tasty food

Cons: A bit small, mostly for takeout
