It took me a while to get here with Green Owl being basically right across the street, but it's good to try something new. The sweet potato black bean enchiladas with vegan cheeze were very tasty (and a little spicy). Can't go wrong with a side of rice and beans either! Good drink menu with a few bar seats.

The vegan queso is delicious. My kid was eating it by the spoonful.

Vegan avocado frito taco was also underwhelming but queso made it good.
Overall good food but some of the vegan modifications are mediocre because they just omit ingredients and don't replace them to make up for it.

Would like to visit again to try other options. We liked the place itself and the people. My taco was okay and the non-veg person I was with didn’t seem too crazy about theirs. But we both really liked the queso. I would definitely give it another try.

Read moreThe flautas were delicious! That’s were the praises stop. Guacamole was bland, as was the taco platter. How do you mess up tacos? They could’ve used Old El Paso seasoning and it would’ve been way better than those unseasoned tacos. My last straw was the salsa bar with…wait for it…4 salsas. Salsa Skid Row is more like it.
Lastly, this place was very unwelcoming. That’s all I’ll say about that.

WOW!!! Pleasantly Surprised - Edit
Visiting friends in Madison, we looked for a place where our non-veg friends could also eat, but did not expect so many vegan options! Not only was the selection great, but the food was absolutely delicious!! Very good comfort mexican food! We had a burrito, smothered in green chili and vegan nacho cheese, and a few of the amazing vegan taco choices. Great food! Will definitely return next time we are in town!
