Best Brunch in Rio ! - Edit
I travel a lot and was so happy to find this hidden jem. It’s brand new and I’ve already eaten here twice ! The food is amazing, with so many options I keep coming back to try different dishes. The menu is diverse, and offers so many choices, from sweet to savory, gluten free options and proteins and organic !! It’s the best brunch in Rio, from the genius of Teva Restaurant (my favorite dinner place)

Very good indeed, but too expensive as a deli - Edit
The smoked tofu tapioca is probably the best filling of any tapioca I ever had (and I love tapiocas), and the apple crumble was very good indeed. Coffee was decent, as was the smoothie. The muffin however was disappointing - whilst the giant Portobello and the sauce was lovely, the tofu was the tiniest sliver you could imagine, and the home-made muffin itself was borderline inedible. The ice cream in the affogato was far too icy, a similar problem to the ice cream in Teva itself last night.
Read moreI counted twelve staff front of house, not including those in the kitchen, so service was clearly on-point. I don't think any of them spoke English, though there is a full English menu. Drinks prices are outrageous as at full Teva.
With a tip in excess of the usual 10%, brunchy breakfast for two was well north of 200 reals. For that price I could have done the unlimited breakfast buffet for five people at my European chain hotel. It's a tall order to justify at these prices, except as a very special treat.

Pros: beautifully curated space, mostly very good food
Cons: much dearer than non-vegan/organic equivalents, optional service charge higher than the usual 10%

To give you an idea of how amazing Teva Deli is, we went 3 times during our 48-hour stay in Rio. So many options (all vegan, gluten-free options, soy-free options, ...), all as delicious as each other. We loved the tapiocas, the waffles, the bread options, the pão de queijo, and everything else we ordered. Highly recommended!

Amazing choice of vegan brunch - Edit
The menu is so big ! We had a fake han sandwich, an empanada, one typical brazilian dish (tapioca), ice cream and a cinnamon bun. Very tasty! They also sell jam, chocolate, lemonades on a shelf. We will definitely come back !
