A natural little cafe - Edit
The atmosphere is nice and old school natural informal, and the owner is quite friendly, kind and speaks English well. The food was good and affordable. I actually ordered two meals as the quantity wasn’t huge, but even with the two, the total price was still good. Most difficult part is finding it — there’s no big sign, just like a handwritten note in Korean in the window (see my photos of the outside, which I’ve included to help people identify it). She seems to have a little low-key scene going on too, with college students and musicians and environmentalists, etc. Everything is in Korean, including a little eco/vegan-library, so I didn’t totally understand everything, but that was the general idea.
Read moreThe owner is really into her little one meal menu (which changes seasonally, maybe monthly) and the ingredients involved. Everything is carefully chosen, some being provided by friends. Free homemade tea, from special ingredients of course. Her menu tells the story [in Korean] of the month’s main meal, and she’ll gladly explain in spoken English too. Then there’s another menu item written on a chalkboard, as a daily special. She also had a delicious little chocolate chip mini-cake thing, of which I scarfed the last one :)

The only full vegan place where the vibe is homely and warm. The owner was so friendly and nice. Of course the food was incredible as well! You can read books while waiting for food as well:) Highly recommend visiting when you’re traveling gongju!
