Terry and Jo's Food for Thought

Great veggie cafe within walking distance of the Baylor campus. I often come here when my friends go out for barbecue and I want to have fun without them! The food is very fresh and tasty, and I think the prices are pretty reasonable. Can't go wrong here.

Ordered a delicious baked avocado delight for lunch, Perfect! Friendly, knowledgeable staff with great customer service. Got to keep the Baylor Bears cup, too!

The people at Terry & Jo's were very friendly to vegan requests, and helpful on the phone for directions to an out of town visiter. Extra parking can be had around the back of the place. The place was 3/4 full on a Tuesday afternoon, and the wait for the food from order to table was 20 minutes. In a word the food was " awesome". The veggies were fresh and delicious. The avocado was special. Terry is the man to talk to about options and up coming dishes.

Although this place is not strictly vegan or even vegetarian, basically every menu item can be ordered vegan, and their food is pretty awesome. Their homemade salsa is fantastic, the nachos and burritos are very generous and chock-full of yummy veggies and beans, and the sandwhiches are pretty cool, too. Plus they have a huge selection of drinks (non alcoholic, but they do serve the pub next door, which is cool). Overall, it's a great place, if a bit pricy. Also, if ordering vegan, be sure to specify no cheese/meat/whatever, as not all of the staff understand precisely what vegan is, even if they're happy to make it for you. :)
