western salad, donut, juice happy - Edit

I’m sitting in the window on a bench with pillows, there’s also places in stools. I got the best spot.

It isn’t fancy. It’s small. Staff very nice. I got a western salad with fake I guess chicken. It was good not great and donut good. It isn’t great but it is good and everyone so nice 5 Stars. There is no bathroom.

don’t get the fish filet - Edit

I think I just got the wrong dish since it seems like most everybody enjoys this place. So, don’t get the fish filet unless you like mushy artichoke and too much vegan cheese. I’m def going back and trying something else on the menu.

solid food - Edit

This is my second time eating at Terri. Today I had the buffalo sandwich, potato salad and hot chocolate. The bread on the sandwich was amazing and the mock meat was ok. I’m bias because I’m not the biggest fan of mock meat so for me to say the sandwich was good means it was good!!! I definitely will eat here again for a third time but will stick with whole veggies. I recommend this place to both long term and transitioning vegans. The quality is consistent.

Good food - Edit

Mousey f/ outside, next to a sports club, very good food but *extremely* expensive: one cookie & one smoothie cost 14 (fourteen) USD — not kidding. Good brownies & smoothies. No seating except on bar stools window. Made for business & health people probably for takeout. Not cozy. Easy public transport access f/ Madison Square Park (not Garden!) station at 23rd/Broadway (R, W trains) and buses, of course.

awesome menu! great food! - Edit

I had the portobello sandwich with cashew cheese and a tomato jam and it was sooo good. I generally go for sandwiches with mock meat but couldn’t turn down the ricotta and I’m so glad I got it. The staff was friendly but very minimal seating.

nice food and quick! - Edit

This was good food - I had a combo plate where you choose 3 items from a list of yummy vegan options. I chose pulled pork, kale salad and tofu scramble which went well together and was a big portion too!

I scored 4 stars as despite the slogan "local, sustainable, plant based" - the plastic and general wastage was terrible. I ordered and was eating in but got it in a paper bag, with a plastic knife, fork and spoon (of which I only used the fork), in a thick plastic container with a thick plastic lid!! The cutlery definitely wasn't plantware and I'm pretty certain the main box wasn't too - hardly sustainable!!! They do have recycling but I think that misses the point a tiny bit. Good food though and great location!

Fast and Amazing! - Edit

I had the vegan fish filet sandwich made from hearts of palm and cashew cheese patty, tartar sauce, "cheddar", and lettuce. I hadn't been to Terri's before; the staff were amazingly friendly with great recommendations, and the food was prepared fast, and tasted great! I would go back to try everything else on the extensive menu of sandwiches, wraps, salads, breakfast, smoothies.. my kind of place!!

Pros: friendly staff, fast service, clean and inviting

amazing Vegan fast food - Edit

We were blown away with this gem. Seriously good and tasty food!!! I ordered the chicken sandwhich and my fb ordered the meatball sub (the vegan cheese on this was epic). I also had the Kale Smoothie and all tasted like high end decadent delicious food, even a kale smoothie - thick, creamy and the right amount of sweetness and kale.

Pros: Fast service even during lunch rush, Delicious food, Reasonable prices

Cons: Limited seating

not impressed - Edit

I went here with high expectations based on previous reviews. I was disappointed that they only had two or three soy-free items on the menu. I ordered the portobello sandwich. It had a weird sweet taste to it (one of the spreads maybe?) which didn't taste good with the garlicky pesto flavor. The mushroom was slimy and I didn't like it. I probably won't go back!

One of my Favorites! - Edit

This is a great little juice bar and vegan fast food place in NYC. Food is delicious, and there is a lot of variety. They have three locations in the city at present.

my guilty pleasure - Edit

I have mixed feelings about this place. I go there when I'm craving junk food or happen to be in the area and hungry. They have some gluten-free options. Service has gotten much better over the years. They used to screw up my order almost every time but not anymore.

I like the hummus avocado wrap (one of their least unhealthy options) and the crunch burger, which can be made on a gluten-free wrap.

Left Me Wanting More - Edit

I wasn't interested in anything heavy, but I wanted something to satiate me before a bus trip. I headed to Terri, but was a bit let down when I realized the salads were pre-made and didn’t look all that appetizing (compared to the website and Instagram photos I had seen). The flavor was alright, but given how “popular” my salad appeared to be in my research (even the cashier, when prompted, suggested the Kale Superfood), I was expecting a great deal more. I ended up eating barely a quarter of it, and taking it home with me. Salads typically don’t keep well, however, and this was no exception. I regret not ordering a sandwich or wrap, because those looked amazing! But the pre-made salad was underwhelming.

breakfast! - Edit

Walked to get breakfast. Looked at reviews before ordering and lots of people said to get "bacon, egg, and cheese" muffin and apple cider doughnut. I did and it didn't disappoint. Also got a Sunset Proposal drink. Delicious!

Didn't care for the tall stools and eating counter, so I took it to-go back to the hotel.

Pros: Apple cider doughnut!

Cons: tall counter seating

Awesome sandwiches! - Edit

This chain is one of my favorite in NYC. You have plenty of choice and the sandwiches are awesome. The vegan cheese they use is so creamy! I'm really fond of it. I also really like their smoothies, even if they are a bit pricey. Definitely worth a try when near one of their locations. Prices are quite fair for the sandwiches and staff is usually friendly. Service is quick even if crowded.

Pros: tasty junk food, quick service, friendly staff, creamy vegan cheese

Pleasant but not outrageous. - Edit

I've enjoyed some meals more than others at Terri's. I find the sandwiches here range from very good to below average, depending on the day and what you choose.

I've also found that the menu is hit and miss.

On our last visit here we ordered the southwestern Chicken Melt which was filled with goodness and had greatex-mex flavors going for it (My wife LOVED it) but, The Chicken, Bacon, Ranch sandwich was EXTREMELY subpar. While (according to my wife) the chicken apparently tasted exactly like the real thing, you would have needed a microscope to find the bacon and the Sandwich was dryer than the Sahara (if there was 1/90th of a bottle of ranch in it than I'm Elvis).

I Honestly do not see what the fuss of some of the other reviews are about. A great Faux Meat Sandwich should be so jam packed with goodness, that you have to eat it with utensils. Here I could one hand the sandwich and there was little that would fall out. While I hate the murder of Animals, New York Delis get the basic concept of a lot of filling between 2 slices of bread correct, which is something you CAN get in vegan places like the Chicago Diner or to a lesser extent Blossom. On the other hand Terri's Sandwiches looks just like how carnivores stereotype Vegan food, lean, thin, and unfilling.

While it has some good offerings, with all the amazing vegan restaurants AND sandwich places in NYC, this wouldn't be my first choice.

Pros: Felt good after eating here

Cons: Some dishes are Dry & Bland, No Bathrooms or even sink to wash your hands!!!, Very little seating

Fabulous resto - Edit

Quick yet tasty vegan eats, which was perfect. Had the southwestern chicken melt and it was delicious. The portion was generous, I did not have any room for dessert. I can't wait to try more, because it was so good. Highly recommended. Wish they had more seating, but we ended up with takeout to eat in Madison Square Park.

Pros: Delicious, Quick

Cons: Limited bar seating

Amazing all around! - Edit

I was surprised to find out how small it was, but it was still a great experience! The employees were friendly and welcoming, and the food was delicious. I got the bacon cheddar chicken and ranch Sandwich, the almond delight smoothie, and a PB fudge brownie to eat there. All of it was amazing!! And the food was served to us SO fast, in only about 5 minutes. Also, the portions are pretty generous. Got a GIGANTIC PB cookie to take home and after eating the PB fudge brownie, I had to get another one before leaving to bring home. Such a great place and highly recommend:

Pros: great atmosphere, amazing food , generous portions

Cons: small
