Tasty! 😋 - Edit
Very tasty food, lots of options. The place itself is pretty small, but it doesn't impede on the experience.

Cosy place - Edit
Nice and cosy place in a small alley, close to the busy streets. The food was good, I took a Vegan plate, which was generous and tasty, special mention to the chicken.

Lovely small restaurant with friendly owners. The food is delicious, but the portions can be quite small while the price isn't low. There are some expections though.

Taste sensation - Edit
Small place tucked away down a side road. The food was INCREDIBLE! Meat like pieces that had a really great taste. Exploding flavours, enjoyed every mouthful! We needed to keep our coats on as it was a bit cold but the tables are high which means you get to dangle your sore feet. Would defo recommend and be going back if we were here any longer!

Comfort food - Edit
I get why people either hate or love Terrazen, it is indeed a bit shabby and pricey BUT the food is great. Yes, it’s probably not the healthiest option in Amsterdam but if you don’t mind about that and you’re just looking for some comfort food this is the place to go. I didn’t want to go at first because of some of the reviews I read here...well I went anyway and did not regret it! loved the food, I think it was very flavourful and filling but if you don’t like fried foods go somewhere else.

Shabby and pricy boring food - Edit
To be honest, we once wanted to eat here, but quickly left because it was so dirty. Because of all the great reviews we made a second attempt a year later or so. The style of the place was definitely improved by then, so we stayed. We had the vegan plate which was really exceptionally boring and very expensive. Maybe the rest of the food is better, but we didn't try it. Too bad.

Delicious, but a slow service - Edit
It’s a hidden and small restaurant. I had the cheese sticks and the sweet and sour chicken. Both were really delicious and the portions are generous. I had to wait 20 minutes for the waiter to take my order, then 20 minutes for the food. Be aware that this is normal in Amsterdam. The service is very slow wherever you go ;)

The food is absolutely amazing - Edit
We had the crispy Roti wrap and the crunchy dragon roll (sushi). The roti was outstanding with the best chicken I've ever had. The sushi was of course not originally Japanese but very good, too.

Best Food I’ve Had - Edit
The boss was amazing and really nice. The Food was super tasty and portion sizes bigger than most places. We did also order a strawberry coconut smoothie for which they used a real coconut and strawberries. The food is very fresh and you can definitely taste the difference. I can more than just recommend it.

Big portions of Caribbean / Japanese vegan dishes - Edit
The place is relatively small. Serves the food fast. The food might be slightly heavy but delicious. Tried okonomiyaki and jamaican dish. Both were tasty. There is not much air inside so get ready to have a walk after to get some air for your clothes. Despite this little negative moment definitely worth visiting.

Good vegan restaurant - Edit
We have been visiting Amsterdam for the last 6 years and always visit this place. It was one the 1st vegan restaurants in Amsterdam, doing it back before it was trendy. You will either love it or hate, most of the food is fried and it’s not somewhere you go in your in a rush . But the food is always super tasty and the guy who runs it could not be any more friendly. The atmosphere is super chilled. With so many new trendy vegan places to eat, it’s important to support those who lead the way and actually believe in the life style rather than just cashing in on the latest thing.

Creative and tasty food, space could improve - Edit
I was between 3 and 4 stars for this, as the space could do with some work, but the food won me over.
Read moreThe menu is very varied and yes there is quite a bit of fried greasy foods, but also some healthy options. We ended up going for the Jamaican Plate, Okonomiyaki, and the terra fries. All delicious. Perhaps the okonomiyaki had too much sauce for my personal liking, but it's just a matter of taste. It's an odd fusion of cuisines, but also very creative and definitely not the usual vegan restaurant menu.
I think the vibe is very particular and I can see why many don't like it. Though I didn't have any major issues with it, the space itself could definitely be a bit more fresh, bright, and friendly. It's a bit too casual, like a home kitchen, but not in the cosy sense. The service was fine, polite, perhaps minimal considering the prices for the food are a little higher than average. Nothing wrong that can't be improved very easily, at no major expense, with just a little personal effort from the owner and staff.
Pros: Creative, tasty food, Lots of options on the menu
Cons: A little pricey, Space could do with some basic work

Spicy Reggae Vibes - Edit
I see a lot of different reviews for this place on Happy Cow. That's no surprise because you'll probably hate it or love it. For me I must say that I loved it.
Read moreThe food is mostly fried, so yes, it is greasy. But nobody ever said that vegan food is always healthy. And maybe the place looks a bit cheap. Old chairs, an old counter, an old speaker and some old reggae music. But that's the vibe you need to feel.
On the 9th of February I visited TerraZen Centre for a quick meal. I started with the spring rolls. They did taste good but they were not very crispy. The outside of the rolls were not what I was expecting. The sauce and taste were both good though, so no big deal. After that my noodles as my main dish. Great spicy noodles with lots of veggies. A good plate, a little too spicy for me, but I'm so white. I can't handle a lot of spices!
After my spiced noodles I had a chocolate cake. A little dry, but the taste was good. I also bought myself a vegan white chocolate bar. Great, never knew there would be a vegan white choco.
The guy who runs the restaurant is a good man. Very friendly attitude. Would definitely go back. And yes, you also eat with strangers at one table, but hey, we are all grown ups, right?
