I wish it was better - Edit
We came here to celebrate my husband's birthday with some vegan bakery treats. From the pictures it looks really great, but the actual experience did not live up to the hype.
Read moreWe order about 4 baked goods, a tea and a coffee (to eat in)
While all the baked goods came on a actual portcelain dish, but the cofee and tea came in throway cups with lids, the cutlery was plastic and this just turned down the ambience of our meal. The black tea was not amazing.
I was really excited by the cinnamon roll, but I was dissapointed by the first bite, it tasted a bit to dry and flabourless, the flour did not seem to be a high quality, the icing was too flakey rather than creamy. My partner ate more of tje centre and it came to be apparent that maybe the core has more flavour. In anycase I would advise maybe making it a bit smaller so the flavour and experience was consistant.
The gingerbread muffin was great, but nothing too amazing.
The staff seemed to be a bit rude and busy checking their phone. I asked for help with some wifi, and was rudely told "no" I needed some help for directions to see a friend and I'm from a different continent (I'm a native english speaker, so I can tell rudeness, and this was after we tipped like 25%).
The space is really beautiful, the tables are great which made us think of paris, so it was so hard to pair this with the throwaway dishes and cutlery and low-quality tasting flour.
It's fine, but nothing great, nothing to incite us to order yet another dish, it felt more of a struggle to finish what we had. and nothing to make us go there again. Maybe we were there on a off day.

BEC from heaven - Edit
I’ve been vegan for 5 years and no BEC that I’ve had as a vegan has quite hit the spot like this one did. 10/10 best BEC I’ve ever had, vegan or non-vegan. Their pastries are also delicious. I suggest getting the almond croissant #Veganuary

Amazing croissants - Edit
Incredible. I love TOE and they're a must if you're ever in Brooklyn.
Read moreWe've tried the fig & prosciutto croissant sandwich, the breakfast bomb, lattes, and some pastries.
They have the best vegan croissant I've ever had, and the butter is amazing in it with the fig/prosciutto sandwich. I don't even like butter but I would eat just the croissant with butter.
They don't skimp with the filling with the breakfast bomb, and it's so tasty and flavorful.
The matcha and gingerbread lattes were both perfectly sweet and creamy. I love that they have unique offerings (ex: rose, lavender) and have rotating seasonal flavors.
Pros: Delicious, Friendly staff, Nice location

Hit and miss - Edit
The breakfast bomb was amazing! It’s savory and well seasoned. The quiche was just OK. It might have been better served warm. The omelet was not good at all: greasy, way overcooked, and the veggies were tiny and not very flavorful. I did not like the cheese in it either. It came with bread that was burnt and undressed greens.

Killer Brekkie! - Edit
Finally made it here and definitely not leaving disappointed. Some folks complained that the sandwiches were too greasy but mine wasn’t. It was “The Maple” which is on focaccia not croissant, so maybe that’s why.. Very filling. The almond croissant is flaky & “buttery” & very nice. Will return to try more stuff!

Great food on paper plates - Edit
They have a variety of food options, from omelettes to cinnamon rolls. The food is great and the staff is friendly. The food is served on paper plates and the place is furnished like a fast food restaurant. I would say this is a place for a lunch break rather than a first date. Nothing wrong with that.

Excellent baked goods - Edit
Their baked goods are the kind that make non-vegans go, “I can’t believe this is vegan!” Everything I had here, during a short trip to NYC (staying in Williamsburg) was very good. I recommend the croissant breakfast sandwich — the coconut “bacon” is really good (it does NOT taste like coconut!). Another time I got the cinnamon roll, which was large and delectable!

Disappointing - Edit
I found the food super greasy. I had B.E.C. and my partner had an omelette, and this was the greasiest and oiliest JustEgg experience we’ve ever had. Given the rave reviews this place normally gets, we might have just been really unlucky. Such a pity, I had really been looking forward to eating here.

New obsession 😍 - Edit
In love with this place. Has such a great vibe to just sit and have a lovely time. And most importantly, everything is absolutely delicious. Their croissants are incredible, with my fav sandwich being the BEC. I don't know what they do to their Just Egg, but it's magic. Their Sage & Garlic Foccacia is the best foccacia I've ever tried (vegan or not). Their portions are also quite generous.

Yuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuum! - Edit
Recommended to us by another vegan establishment, we were wowed by the "The (tofu) bomb". A wonderful tofu chorizo scramble wrapped in a delightfully flaky igloo shaped pastry. An even more wonderful B.E.C.; crispy bacon, Just Egg, melted cheddar cheese, greens and an everything s'mear on a plain croissant. When the pastries are this good and vegan, you know you've got a winner.

Awesome bakery and cafe - Edit
This is such a great place. It has a nice vibe, is relaxed and friendly and the food is delicious. Ideal for brunch or lunch with a great selection of savoury items as well as pastries and baked goods. We had the 'omelette' and the BEC. They were great when we told them about an intolerance and adapted the BEC to make it suitable. We have a cinnamon bun and olive oil cake to take out as we are too full to eat it now. If we had a place like this at home it would be our go to as we loved it. #Veganuary
