Small corner vegetarian restaurant next to Daisen Temple entrance. Tranquil and calm atmosphere. Serves Temple cuisine (Shojin Ryouri), some of which is vegan and possibly others that could be made vegan upon request. Open Mon-Sun 9:00am-5:00pm. Possibly closed in winter due to snow.

Cosy restaurant with nice interior

Just had a quick lunch after Mt. Daisen climbing. Vegan miso ramen was really great.

Excellent Zen Burger

Had the burger (700 yen, not too big) and the ramen (800 yen). Both vegan and excellent. The burger has buns made of deep-fried tofu. If you don't like too fatty things maybe opt for the ramen.
I think the ice cream is not vegan but please ask.
They also have Amazake (sweet, very low alcohol sake).

Pros: Main dishes are all vegan., Very tasty , Inexpensive and really the only place around

Cons: Nothing
