Taste It All at Tempt - Edit
A ton of options for vegans that don’t get to indulge as often as they want to! The flavors are all present in every different bite you can try. Orange hot chocolate rocked.

Closing soon I hear :( - Edit
I go here a lot it's delicious I wish less time went into it and made the items cheaper as being male and impatient I guzzle these and care absolutely nothing at all about how nice they all look. Could do with a section for pretty chocolates for gifts and people that care about how meticulous a craft it is, and another section for slobs. I'm happy for a machine to make mine in the background, there I said it.

Little chocolate shop with delightful pralines - Edit
We came across this wonderful chocolate shop and got a small selection of their summer collection which we all liked a lot.
Read moreDo yourself a favor and try them. My favorites were whitby sea salt caramel and peanut caramel (is there a pattern?). My boyfriend had several fruity chocolates and was a fan of these as well.
The shop owner and chocolatiere was very nice and helpful.
The chocolates aren‘t cheap since they are handmade, artisanal, ethical and so much more. Need I say they are worth every penny? They are worth every penny!

Very good chocolate - Edit
The chocolate was amazing and my partner said the mint hot chocolate was the best she’s had, the staff did seem a little pre occupied and wasn’t the most welcoming.

I cam here on 26 Nov 21. I just loved the hazelnut chocolate one and the white chocolate strawberry and cream one. Really nice soft flavourful high chocolate. My friend enjoyed the chocolate coated coffee bean ones. All made in store.

Vegan chocolate paradise - Edit
What an amazing place! The owner is the best and her shop is just filled with chocolate: ice cream / hot chocolate / chocolates / bars / nuts etc. I had a hard time choosing because it all looks and smells divine! Got a hot chocolate with matcha and 3 types of chocolates: cherry bakewell, raspberry rose caramel and mango passion fruit mousse. I can't wait to go back!

SOMETHING VERY SPECIAL IN YORK! - Edit
This is the UK’s first plant-based chocolate shop. But I discovered it’s much more than that. I read in an article that the owner was the Head Chocolatier for the prestigious Rococo Chocolates chain. She left because she felt she wanted to create something even better, and with ethics. I visited the shop and was shocked to learn that her drive for the very best, and her passion for 100% ethics - from avoiding worker exploitation to vegan glues used in packaging - make production costs 3 times higher than competitors! But what I didn’t expect was the ASTONISHING taste. MY GOD!!!! You can TASTE the love that goes into these little exploding parcels of pleasure. It’s hard to put into words but these chocolates are another level to anything I’ve tased before. The salted caramel chocolate domes, the rose chocolate bars and the passion-fruit and pineapple chocolate-coated jellies are simply astonishing. I found myself going back for more. I then ordered some online to send to friends, who immediately contacted me to ask for the contact details! It’s like the film ‘Chocolat’ in real life: this ancient little shop is producing something MAGICAL. Vegan or not, you NEED to try this. York has something very special going on at Tempt and, when word gets around, it won’t be long before queues start to form down High Petergate.
Read morePros: 100% Vegan, ASTONISHING taste need to be tried to be believed, Despite 3x higher production costs, prices normal
Cons: I want more!

Delicious new vegan chocolate shop - Edit
A brand new vegan chocolate shop, which opened in June 2021 after successful crowd-funding. They have a range of chocolate, all made from ethically sourced cocoa and all vegan. Perfect for gifts or when you'd just need a little bit of chocolate. Non plastic options are available - buy part of a slab and it comes in a paper bag. Truffles etc are available too, and a range of flavours - chocolate ginger, white chocolate, chocolate with dried fruit, chocolate honeycomb, guanduja, chocolate hazelnut.
