CLOSED: Tea Lane

Tea Lane was the one truly outstanding highlight of an otherwise disappointing (vegan food-wise) visit to Aberdeen earlier this month. An all vegan cafe, I enjoyed a falafel wrap with black coffee and chocolate orange cheesecake for my lunch one day. My only criticisms would be that the menu is very small and it's only open one day a week (two things which I suspect may be related). I'd love to see them extend their opening hours; Aberdeen is clearly in sore need of more vegan-friendly cafes and restaurants!

This amazing little gem is a must visit for vegans in Aberdeen!

All the food served there is 100% vegan. They serve freshly prepared raw salads, a variety of different cakes and desserts, and teas. I have tried a couple of their cakes, which were absolutely amazing!

The atmosphere of the cafe is great. It is a very cosy, small venue, with a lot of character! They often display artwork from local artists, which I think is a lovely idea. It is also child/family friendly. The staff are really friendly and welcoming.

I can't think of a single negative thing to say about this place. It is currently only open on Saturdays, but the owners are hoping to open the first full time vegan cafe in Aberdeen soon! It is definitely a must visit!
