Saved the day! - Edit
What a great find for Bowness, popped in after another cafe find and was so pleasantly surprised that all its deli salads were vegan and that you could get a very generous salad box for a fiver. Bingo! Great food on the go.

Lots of vegan grocery type stuff. We bought chilli sauce and coffee. Had some vegan lunch options for takeaway.

2 vegan sandwich options- I got the pepper one and it was good. Also some vegan cakes available too. Would be good for a bit more choice though as they otherwise have a big menu for non vegans

Lovely deli with vegan options - Edit
We spotted a vegan sandwich on the menu in the window so popped in, and noticed they also had loads of salad options, like giant cous cous, chickpeas, homemade hummus etc, but we were after some carbs after a hike.
Read moreThe sandwich on offer was hummus, pesto, roasted peppers, and sundried tomatoes, and it was freshly made with the option to add in any other salad we wanted.
It was so tasty and the lady who served us was so lovely! Even teaching us the history of Kendal mint cake.
Lots of great looking sauces and jars of things to buy too, plus Kendal mint cake too obviously!

The little shop offers one vegan sandwich which was very good and not at all expensive. The choice of soup changes daily, when we were there all soups were vegan and they have a range of salads with many vegan options as well

Super salads - take away - Edit
We were craving nice fresh salads after walking in the Dales. Taylors in Bowness gave us just that! They have a super selection of homemade, fresh salads and a vegan sandwich to take away. Although not all the salads are vegan, they are predominantly vegan and all vegetarian. They are also very good value as we bought a £4 box with 6 different salads for lunch and were absolutely full afterwards. The owners are lovely and very accommodating! I highly recommend this place.
