My favourite Sorrento dinner

This restaurant was literally right next to our hotel (Villa Maria) and I'm gutted that I didn't find it until our last night.

It's a small, typical Italian restaurant (you know it's typical because it's run by men who do great customer service and love a bit of banter!).

The menu listed all the ingredients of a dish, so whilst there wasn't a specific section for vegan / vegetarian it was clear what was suitable.

I opted for the spaghetti, oil, garlic and chilli. It was 100% delicious!
The waiter was also really good at reassurance that the ingredients listed were all of the ingredients.

My wife had the home made gnocchi which was vegetarian not vegan, on account of the cheese. It also got a big thumbs up!

Both dishes were served piping hot- something that I realised was missing from other local restaurants.

The staff were great. Typically Italian men who wanted their customers to enjoy more than just the food.

Price was really reasonable too.

I loved it!

Pros: Great setting, Great staff, All ingredients listed

Traditional and tasty Arrabiatta

I would give the meal a 3.5. The Arrabiatta was amazing - simple and tasty.

Cons: No vegan options labelled on the menu, Limited choice

Simple yet delicious

Nothing is labelled with allergens but there were some naturally vegan items on the menu. I had the tomato bruschetta and spaghetti olio, aglio e pepperocino (olive oil, garlic and chilli pepper) - both were super simple but this is perhaps the best meal I’ve had in Italy yet. Highly recommend!

Pros: Friendly service , Good price

Cons: Not many vegan options , Poor labelling

Delicious, simple vegan pasta

Had an awesome penne arrabiatta here, and noticed other vegan options on the menu (garlic & oil pasta, cheeseless pizza). For such a simple dish it was out of this world delicious
