Great restaurant by the lake - Edit
Taverna Neraida is located directly by Kournas Lake and sitting on the terrace, you have a wonderful view.
Read moreWe wanted to visit another taverna that is already listed on HappyCow, but it was closed, so we tried our luck here. The staff speak English very well and when we said that we were vegan, they showed us all the vegan options on the menu - some that are already vegan and a few more that could easily be adapted. They clearly knew about veganism and were very welcoming and eager to accommodate us.
We chose the fried zucchini, the stuffed tomato and pepper (they also gave us a few stuffed vine leaves in addition), the herb pies and fries. Everything tasted fresh and hearty.
