Solid source for indian food and true restaurant experience going vegan in tiny steps - Edit
Skilful cooking and a pleasant, calm environment - that's what Tasty Tandoori provides: A true restaurant experience. The vegan share of its menu is considerable - and growing in tiny steps: May 2022 12/70 meals were vegan, more than 17%, 1 year later, May 2023, 16/88 meals were vegan, more than 18%. The owner declared intention to make the restaurant go vegan step by step.
Read moreThe meals - rather big and filling. The taste - very good. The prices - fair, considering health. Oil is applied in moderation. Across the meals the aroma does justice to the indian cuisine: By variety and complexity. Good example for both points: '#076 BAINGAN BHARTA (vegan, slightly hot) - a lush curry made of roasted eggplants finely blended together with onions & tomatoes, and accompanied by fluffy, steaming basmati rice' - 12,90 € in year 2023. Regarding tactile sense, many a meals turn out to be surprisingly exciting as fireworks. A good example for this is the starter '#002 SABZI PAKORA (vegan, slightly hot) - a mix of different vegetables coated in seasoned flour batter made of chickpeas and deep-fried to crunchy fritters' - 5,90 € in year 2023. The cooking points across the different vegetables are always hit: The potatoes will break into rather pretty than a bit soft and a bit dry pieces dissolving pretty pasty, while at the same time - it could be your next bite - the carrot pieces are a bit crunchy and firm to the bite and slightly juicy. A good example for this: '#068 MIXED VEGETABLES (vegan, slightly hot) - with different vegetables & spicy seasoning, accompanied by fluffy, steaming basmati rice' - 10,90 € in year 2023. You don't have to wait long for your ordered meals to be delivered to your table. Biggest weak points: #1 Wrong vegan labeling for the salad. '#014 SALAT MISTA (vegan) - green salad, cherry tomatoes, curcumber, corn, bell pepper, onion' - 5,00 € in year 2023 - is labeled vegan, but the accompanied dressing is unvegan, containing honey and joghurt made of milk of enslaved subjects, animals. #2 The menu lacks pretty much in variety - the meals are all pretty similar. #3 No vegan Naan bread - if that would be available and integrated as 2nd choice next to basmati rice across all dishes with basmati rice, the variety issue would be considerable diminished, allowing for rotating that base order-wise - 1st curry, with rice, 2nd curry with naan bread, 3rd once again with rice.
