Serves meat, vegan options available. Family-owned restaurant since 2013. In Ethiopian cuisine you will find spiced vegetable, potato, and lentil dishes which are vegan-friendly. Lunch if buffet, but dinner is a la carte which will be easier for vegans as you could order off the menu. Ask server for vegan suggestions. Reported closed July 2023.

My First Visit

Cozy restaurant that should have been packed. Our server was gracious and the vegan menu is clearly marked. I had the vegan lunch combo with potatoes and my hubby has the same with collards. The red lentils and potatoes were my absolute favorite.

Pros: Lots of vegan options, Coffee!, Simple food, tastes amazing

Cons: Simple food so no fancy plating, Dinnerware could be elevated

Great food at good price

I love Ethiopian food and was excited to discover there is a restaurant in Greensboro, which is conveniently located on my way to my mother’s house. I went close to the end of the lunch service and there was no one else there. The chef made my food to order (allowing me to choose whichever entrees I wanted) but gave me the buffet price, which is cheaper than other Ethiopian restaurants I’ve been to. I thought the portions were fair, although I did get an extra side order of injera.

Mesir wot is typically my favorite and it was good here but not the best I’ve ever had. The yellow split pea dish was better than others I’ve had. This place is definitely worth a try, especially if you’ve never tried Ethiopian food.

Great Food Fair Prices

I just tried this place with one of my friends today. We went during the lunch buffet and I was surprised to find that most of the options on the buffet were vegan. My friend and I both enjoyed the food, even though a few of the options were a bit on the salty side for me.

Pros: Lots of vegan options, Fair prices, Good Service

Cons: A bit salty (for me)
