Fantastic food

Fantastic food from a small family run business. They can advise you over the phone what dishes are vegan, there are multiple options.
Far and away my favourite take away in Belfast.

Delicious

Surprising going to collect it, it's someone's house! But a very friendly man greeted me and advised I wait a few mins (I was early). He came back out a few minutes later to my car to bring the food.
I got a the pancakes with the wee platter of lentils & cabbage based dishes. It was soo good, especially as you knew it was home cooked! It was the perfect amount for one person, or maybe a little too much. Would definitely get again.

Pros: Reasonably priced, family run, small business

Delicious and unique

I stumbled upon taste of Ethiopia on social media. I was surprised when I turned up at the listed address to find myself standing at the front door of a family home. There was no mistake. This is a family run enterprise born out of the lockdown situation by a clearly talented (presumably Ethiopian) couple. Our order was taken and we were told it would be freshly prepared and ready for collection in 25 minutes. There are several vegan options. Forgive me for not using the correct names as it was my first Ethiopian meal and all new to me. We shared a portion of lentil samosas with sweet chilli sauce. Ethiopian pancakes, boiled rice and a platter of four dishes. Two were lentil based and two were cabbage based. It was just the correct amount for two adults and came to £19. Very aromatic and not too oily. We were nicely satisfied but not stuffed. There are a few other vegan options too. The gentleman who took our order was very pleasant, helpful and polite and seemed pleased to see us
He put us at our ease after the strangeness of knocking the door of what appeared not to be a takeaway! Their Instagram account had two newspaper reviews explaining the background to the business which are worth a read.
