THE BEST VEGAN CAFÉ - Edit
I discovered it randomly and was overjoyed that everything on their menu was vegan. I wish I could try every single item but these were the ones I had so far:
Read more- coconut cream doughnut: nice but the coconut cream becomes too runny on a sunny day
- cinnamon doughnut: the best and fluffiest doughnut I’ve ever had! 10/10
- Hawaiian pizza slice: delicious, even when had cold 10/10
- lemon chicken sandwich: again delicious, lovely flavours and texture and a decent amount of filling for a sandwich, and a nice bread
Brilliant service and really lovely aesthetic in the shop (although I had my food as take-away).
They also support a fight against climate change and making businesses sustainable.
Great ethics, amazing food and reasonable pricing - absolute perfection!
Pros: Everything is vegan and delicious, Sweet and savoury options, cold and hot drinks, Brilliant service

I would give more than 5 stars if I could.
Pros: Everything was delicious!, All vegan, The staff was super nice

Blown away! - Edit
I love bakeries. Back in Montreal there's a bakery in almost every corner... But this, this cute little bakery in Auckland made me wish I'd live here.

Omg - so amazing. Went here for breakfast with my Omni mum who has never tried anything specifically vegan. So much choice. We had almond croissant, ham and cheese croissant and coffees. My mum loved it! Couldn’t tell the difference from ‘normal’. Win! I took pizza home which was also amazing.

best bakery but... - Edit
I would have given 5 stars but i once turned up when they were meant to be open and no food had arrived. Gutted! So I went to get breakfast at Lord of the fries instead. Apart from that, it's bloody amazing!

The Best Bakery - Edit
Tart is our favourite place ever. The Mexitarian and the mince and cheese pies are our faves, and we have tried all of them. They also have the best vegan sausage rolls, we always get one. The coconut cream donut is also an absolute must. If you haven't been, go now. Run. Get there. Try everything. Thank me later.

Brilliant - Edit
Really tasty pies, sandwiches were quality but I don't like the flavour, the pizza is ok but quite doughy and not much flavour. The doughnuts and cakes are really well made and tasty, the drinks are great, and the staff are really friendly and nice!

France in Auckland - Edit
Cafe in nice covered arcade area. Wonderful range of French patisserie style food, croissants, choc au pain, pain aux raisins - what joy to find this food available to vegans. Had two croissants for breakfast and an almond coffee (a bit cold but tasty.) I bought a falafel sandwich and pain aux raisins for my lunch. Really handy as the area my workshop was in had a dirth of vegan/veg restaurants. What a shame there is not a branch in Wellington, mind you my waistline probably appreciates the fact there isn't. Well worth the visit. Talking to vegan friend from Auckland at workshop, she said she was addicted to their spinach pies, next time I visit...

Great Little Bakery - Edit
We picked up a creamy mushroom pie for my husband and he absolutely loved it - we’ve not had a decent veg pie since cutting the meat two years ago, so this one got a huge thumbs up!

Amazing ! - Edit
This little bakery should exist in more places ! I didn’t try much but once I’m back in Auckland I definitely go there again ! I had vegan bacon roll and it was delicious, also a bit scary because it came close to “the original”.

Really love the selection here, full of sweet and savoury pastries. The spinach and cheese pie was oozing with creamy goodness, and the berry danish was a treat. Will definitely come back to try more.

Really delicious pastries! "Cream"-filled donuts, too. Doesn't taste "vegan." Elegant presentation. Although not a huge selection. Also has great savory pies and pastries. Win!

Comfort food - Edit
Very casual little place serving pies, pizza, and soft drinks. Extremely affordable. We had 2 pies, 2 pieces of pizza, and a ginger beer all for about $12. The pies were good, but the pizza was outstanding—would go back for this if in the area and looking for something fast. No restrooms.

Super Sweet - Edit
I stumbled into Tart in a bit of a daze after wandering around the CBD on a crowded and muggy afternoon and I’m so happy I did! I wasn’t really looking for food but I had Tart in my mind of places to check out and when I saw it I had to pop in... Which lead to a slice of pizza, a mushroom hand pie and a cronut for takeaway. The pizza was PERFECT, with artichoke hearts, fresh basil and ooey, gooey, melted v-e-g-a-n cheese!!! The hand pie was also good with creamy mushrooms and a flakey crust. The cronut will need its own post as I don’t have room for it and it’ll go with my morning coffee. The bakery is small but adorable and the shopgirl was really lovely. Totally worth a visit!

So good. Especially on a hangover. Mexitarian pie is my favourite and it all reminds me of going to the bakery as a kid. So good to be able to enjoy those comforts as a vegan!
