Our favorite eatery in Zihuatanejo! Really hard to find the first time but it was worth not giving up! We had to call the restaurant for directions several times! So far everything we tried was super delicious: soups, quesadillas, their white and dark chocolate mousse pie (omg!), their daily specials and best tortillas on the planet! Everything vegan and super tasty. Will be back for more!

We had the mushroom tacos, teriyaki tofu, and cauliflower steak. All were superb. The mushroom tacos were too spicy hot for my husband, but I loved them. We had the vegan coconut ice cream for dessert. Highly recommend!

I love visiting fully vegan restaurants on my travels and this one did not disappoint. I was sick when I ate here so I feel like my taste was a little off, but I loved that they served ramen (even though it was super hot outside) because it was just what my throat needed. We also got sushi rolls, tortas, tacos and salad. My dad isn’t vegan but said that this was the best place we ate at on our trip. He is also gluten free and they did a great job accommodating him.

Ceci is an incredible vegan chef, making a wide variety of Mexican dishes and other cuisines at a reasonable price. The pozole special is not to be missed if it is on the menu that day. The vegan French toast is unbelievable for brunch. The tacos are so flavorful too. You cannot go wrong with anything here. Ceci also makes delicious home made cheeses and ice creams- just order and pick up the next day. We want to eat here every day!!! 🌱

Worth the trip to beautiful Zihuatanejo! - Edit
Ceci is a Vegan Master Chef! Everything is made in house and it is all world-class. On my first trip, the mesera (waitress) kept hounding to me to try the hamburger. She was so sweet that I didn't have the heart to tell her that I really never liked hamburgers, vegan or otherwise. I guess the thinking is that if you are a meat-eater and you try their burger, you will be hooked. Not sure. Anyway, I gave into her pleading. The burger and fries plate was outstanding! It was not your normal soy or pea-protein based patty. Instead, it was a delicate blend of seeds and nuts and vegetables. And the fries were outstanding. Fast forward a few years and I think I have tried everything on the menu at least twice and have never had a less-than-stellar meal. (I visit Zihuatanejo often, usually two to three times per year.) Entre Zankas is worth the trip to beautiful Zihuatanejo!

Mitos is a "fine dining" restaurant with mostly meat and seafood dishes. You are forewarned. Of course, if you have someone in your party who has to have meat, then this is a great choice for your group. Maybe you can get them to try the burger.
I once asked Ceci if she and her husband ever argued about food. She gave me a glaring look and simply said, "Todos los dias." (Every day.) So put Zihuatanejo on your travel plans and check out Entre Zankas. Zihua has a few other vegan options that are noteworthy but nowhere near as exemplary as Entre Zankas.

So many vegan options, so little time. After the first bite we knew we were coming back for dinner. Chilaquiles and brioche french toast all at once. We will return. …And we did return for 4 different breakfast days, one lunch day and one dinner day! We always ordered multiple dishes and walked away feeling full and so grateful! We even ordered take out for the plane ride home. Zihuatanejo is now on my must-visit-every-year list, because of this restaurant.

Absolutely great vegan food, desserts , home made cheeses, milks, meat alternatives! We ordered Christmas specials for our family dinner and they were fantastic, creative , tasty and lots of variety. Ceci is an amazing cook and health conscious but does not sacrifice flavor or texture. We were there a few times for dinner or to shop for home as well. It made our stay in Zihuatanejo so pleasant not having to hassle finding delicious food for our vegan and food allergy family .

Cecilia is a super nice woman and she gives great service. The food is amazing, everything I tasted was delicious. I really recommend this place. I went to one more vegan place in Ixtapa/Zihuatanejo and I liked Taqueria Entre Zankas much much more. Ceci has created a menu with a lot of options, I wanted to taste everything. It became my favorite restaurant in Ixtapa/Zihuatanejo.

My wife I recently had a quite delicious lunch here. We shared their large Cobb salad with crunchy and tasty faux bacon bits - lots of good flavors in here. She had the yummy sushi rolls. There were so many veggie slices in these, it made for lots of great taste. It was, though, deep fried. When we next have this I’ll request they avoid that step.

Renovations make Entre Zankas comfortable in partially open tropical air restaurant easy to find, a couple of blocks from Zihua Bay.. Low prices for a full Mexican Vegan plate adorned with surprises ! Tamarind juice, Nopal juice ( cactus) and almost anything you want typically Mexican and very delicious. Hi Ceci ! Read moreWe ate there twice on our trip to zihuatanejo. Both times the food was really good! I had the quinoa meat balls one day and the next a chickpea and mushroom curry. The curry was great! Both gluten free , other gluten free options too. The menu of the day changes which I think is always a good idea !
