This restaurant is not vegan. You must be mistaking it for Vegan by El Zamorano in Costa Mesa but you reviewed a non vegan restaurant in santa ana.

Sunday food stands!! - Edit
100% vegan Sunday meals!! OMG!! What a find. Very little parking, super fresh food. Sorry that we are on the plane heading back to Denver!! We enjoyed a fabulous chili relleno with rice and beans. Horchata was great!! Another stand we had “pork” and green chili, Stella!! I want more!! And finally a stop at the last stand to have a couple of cupcakes. The chocolate strawberry was so tasty!!

Sunday Vegan Pop Ups - Edit
Four vegan vendors when I visited - one for tamales, one for tacos, one for loaded tator tots and cakes, and one for desserts. Apparently there’s often a vegan ice cream vendor here too.

Soyrizo to the Rescue! - Edit
Awesome taqueria with all the classics for your family/friends who still partake in that, but a killer soyrizo/tofu mix that can be used as the meat for any of the menu items! Also they have a vegan pop-up here every Sunday where other vegan vendors from around the area come and open up shop in the parking lot, definitely worth checking out on any given Sunday!

mom and pop place w/ vegan options💛💛 - Edit
Super amazing place, been coming here for years for their cucumber drink. (Must try)
Read moreThey now just recently implemented vegan options, and not pricey at all. A loaded tofu soyrizo scramble will cost you no more than 8$.
The last time I was there I didn’t want a soyrizo burrito I opted for just the soyrizo tofu scramble with a side of beans and guacamole and salsa.
They also have veggie tacos with beans in them.
Their seasoning and portions are on point. Love that there is No weird hipster vegan concoctions, just regular vegan Mexican food.
I’ll have to try the chilaquiles next!
**The rice isn’t vegan, but the beans are.
Fun fact: One of the owners sons is vegan and is the one behind the vegan creations.
Pros: vegan accepts card outside seating Santa Ana
