Amazing Vegan Sushi 10/11/2023

Lovely place for vegan and vegetarian sushi. I ordered a mix of things. All really tasty but the sweet potato starter was my favourite.
The people there were super friendly and I'll definitely be going back.

Amazing vega-sushi

Came back with my partner to get 4 boxes of vega sushi (box with 8 vegetable sushi), because it was the most delicious food I have had during my 7 weeks stay in Japan.

Pros: 8 pieces of vegetable sushi box, Owners (sweetest people ever!), Admosphere

What a surprise! Veg Bento/Deli next to Vegan Crepe Shop

My husband and I found this shop by chance when we were visiting the Vegan Crepe Shop (Dot's Crepe) in the same strip mall (also highly recommended!!)

The sign said "soy meat" so we went in and asked whether their shop was vegan. They told us that they are vegetarians and some items contain egg or dairy, but some items are also vegan-friendly. They pointed out which ones would be vegan-safe for us and we took several items back to the hotel for us to have for later.

It turned out that everything we bought was delicious, so we ended up going back the next day to get some more. However, it was late in the day (around 5pm when we got there) so a lot of their food was already sold out. Luckily, they still had veggie sushi so we got two sets of veggie sushi. The sushi usually comes with one topped with egg, but they were able to change it to something else for us.

The shop is run by three sisters and their mom, and they just opened it up about a month before I visited in July, 2023. They were super sweet and we chatted with them quite a bit. We will definitely go back next time we are in the area.

Pros: family-run, women-run business, very accommodating and friendly, located between Sapporo and Otaru

Cons: sells out early sometimes - get there early!
