Excellent mock chicken rice - Edit

This is probably the 2nd best mock chicken rice I ever had after Li Wei in Serangoon but no.2 is good enough for me to visit much more frequently due to its proximity to my home.

I always order their mock chicken rice($3) and add the mock braised pork belly($1) when I am there. It makes such a tasty combi. I like their fried pink png kway too.

If I remember correctly, they are closed on Mondays and the mock chicken rice is only available on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays.

Some of their noodles contain eggs and they handle eggs and other foods using the same food gloves at times.

Pros: Mock chicken rice, Decent service even when they are very busy

Cons: Their handling of eggs

Really enjoyed the food - Edit

Whenever I visit this stall in the early mornings, there will always be a long queue - that's how popular this stall is.

The chicken rice and mee rebus are some of their dishes that I really love.

If you're getting takeaway, please bring your own container - they are willing to pack the food in that instead.

Pros: Near Marsiling MRT

tanaka vegetarian (marsiling) - Edit

my mum and i shared "chicken" rice, with an additional plate of assorted veggies and a bowl of curry veg - it came to sgd8. i've not had chicken rice since turning veggie and had no expectations, but the "chicken", while tasty, was obviously crispy, fried beancurd sheets (no fooling an omnivore). the rice had a bit of the garlic/ginger fragrance that i remember from years ago (could have done with more), and i enjoyed the chilli sauce.

the okra in one of the dishes was overcooked and veered towards whitish. other than that, nothing was particularly outstanding but it made for a hearty breakfast.

was glad to see that this stall had the longest queue in this coffee shop.

Pros: cheap

Cons: carb-heavy

Cheap and nice - Edit

Really cheap place that serves nice food with a lot of flavours.
The servers although they are super nice they dont speak good english, so is hard to ask the vegan questions and get a straight answer.

Pros: Cheap., Vegan options.

Cons: Non english speaker.
