Good food, however..

They have amazing food however I wish they offered the menu all day. I love their green curry but they do not offer it at dinner time 🥺 (which is usually when I go out to eat) really unfortunate.

Pros: Good food , Many options, Vegan Thai green curry

Cons: Overpriced , Don’t serve the same menu all day , Small portions

Good vegan cafe with some missteps

Tami’s is a restaurant serving all vegan food in the colorful American Village. Located at the complex where the ferris wheel is, it’s a nice place to sit down and have a meal after going through the unique streets in the area. I especially enjoy sitting in the outdoor area that looks over the American Village.

The menu features a decent selection of western dishes. You can find burgers, plates, desserts and more. Dinner time has a slightly bigger menu. The hamburg steak plate has a plant-based steak with sweet teriyaki sauce. The texture is slightly soft and the potion is rather small. The soft serve ice cream and brownie are nice but the brownie is a bit dry.

One unfortunate thing at the time of visit is that there is a fish in a water dispenser. A weird site of a vegan restaurant that promotes cruelty-free food.

Pros: Vegan food, Great location and view

Cons: Fish tank , Some dishes are mediocre

Good burger in good location!

I got the tofu and avocado burger and a pineapple juice in a set for ¥1650. The burger was delicious, though a little too salty for my taste. Came with a side of corn chips and salsa. The pineapple juice was great! Staff were really friendly

Pros: All vegan options, Friendly staff

Cons: Slightly expensive

Awesome location awesome food

Me and my friends all had delicious burgers!
The miso fillet burger was a bit too salty, I tried my friends vegan fish burger, that was amazing, I'd recommend that instead.

We sat outside in a warm breeze was perfect. Please check it out!

Pros: Awesome burgers, with unique choices

Cons: Miso sauce was a bit too salty.

Small portions, OK food

I had the sweet potato and avocado burger which was OK but was quite small. We also shared the appetisers plate which I wouldn't recommend. Ncie that it is all vegan and food OK but if you have another choice go there

Ok, but not awesome

Everything was ok, but not awesome. I like the fact that it is a nice spot, totally vegan. They sell vegan cosmetics and all. The burger was ok but I expected more. Maybe I would try the Tami's burger if I had to pick another time. Miso burger was ok. The ice cream was good and yes it tastes molasses. But we a chocolat donut, the mix was really good.

Pros: Nice spot, Fully vegan

Delicious vegan food

Delicious vegan meals and desserts in a nice setting. We tried the mock fish burger, the daily vegan plate, the green curry, soft serve ice cream, donut and coconut cake. Everything was fabulous! The donut was more like a soft brownie than a donut. Ice cream was lovely, a real treat for my vegan kid!

Great Vegan restaurant!

The menu isn’t fixed. We ordered the hound-meat patties with different sauces, tomato and teriyaki. Both were wonderful! We liked the tomato sauce slightly better. The fries were awesome! Crispy outside and well done inside. The home-made ketchup was a great addition too.
Looks like they are known for burgers that we would like to try the next time!

So delicious!

This was better than any burger I ate in Tokyo- I had the miso cutlet one and it was so perfectly crisp crunchy moist in all the right areas! The chips were also awesome & I had to see how the soft serve was after that outstanding meal. Someone else mentioned it had an unusual flavour on first bite (like molasses or something) which I ended up really loving after the second!

Really good !

The restaurant is cool, with a nice view on the American Village (it's really beautiful by night). You can eat inside or outside. Nice staff and really good food. The portion was ok for me, the only things I can say is about the price. I paid around ¥2500 for a burger with french fries a drink a dessert. That's not so expensive but usually in my country (France) I pay around ¥1600 for the same things so I was a bit surprise. Nevermind, I was very happy to find a vegan place after one week in Okinawa.
Thank you!

Pros: All vegan, Good food + Nice staff, The view by night

Nothing special, very small portions

In our okinawa trip we searched over happycow some vegan restaurants and we found this one. We ordered some teriyaki burger with fries/wedges. In our opinion the size of the portions was a joke, I just had 10 fries and a small, not well tasted burger. We will not visit this restaurant again.

Cons: High prize for very small portion, Was not tasty for us

Okay, but...

Good location. A lot of parking. All vegan menu.
But the portion is way too small and expensive!
If you are on a diet, it's a good place to visit.

Pros: A lot of parking

Cons: Expensive, Small

Just OK

I found Tamis to be pretty expensive (think about 10-13 USD just for a burger,no fries) and the burgers while having OK flavor, were very soft and fell apart. overall i love that its all vegan, but i wouldnt come here again unfortunately.

Pros: All vegan, Has soft serve/deserts

Cons: expensive, small portions

Insanely tasty vegan guilty pleasure:)

Went there today as I've craved a vegan burger with some fries and it satisfied me completely! Had a burger with fries, a smoothie and a dessert and it all was delicious! Will go there again very soon.

Pros: Taste, Quality, Price

Cons: None

Incredible and welcoming atmosphere

I was not expecting to find a vegan restaurant at American Village in Okinawa! The Teriyaki Veggie Burger was amazing. They also have a vegan soft-serve machine - a perfect treat to have after walking around in the tropical heat. They also have a small selection of vegan/ethical cosmetics/soaps.

Pros: awesome food, great atmosphere

Delicious food, great location

After planning a trip to Carnival Park Mihama, I was thrilled to find that they had their own vegan restaurant. The restaurant was very well signed. Unlike most vegan restaurants in Japan, you could very easily stumble across this one.

After making a booking and watching the sunset on the nearby beach, my girlfriend and I made our way to Tamie's Kitchen. As it happens, the booking wasn't really necessary, we were the only customers when we got there.

We both had the dinner special, which was a plate with a variety of dishes. All of them delicious. I had mine with bread, and after a year of living in Japan it was great to see real bread that I didn't have to cook for myself.

For dessert, we had the soy milk soft-serve topped with chocolate and nuts. The first bite tasted a bit strange, but afterwards it was really quite nice.

This is the only exclusively Vegan restaurant in all of Okinawa (according to HappyCow) so its competition may be limited, but it's good food and location mean that it can hold its own against the Vegan restaurants of mainland Japan.

Pros: Good food, Excellent location, Nice desserts

Cute Place

I only got to try their pre-opening ice cream, but that was DELICIOUS. I moved off the island before they actually opened. They have a second location now.

Vegan heaven in an American village!!

Located in famous Chatan American Village, near US military base, right across the Starbucks on the second floor deck. I was desperately trying to find something to eat but all I could find was All-American hot dogs and 100% American beef ( I don't really care) hamburgers, then as always, Happy Cow Apps "location nearby" helped me, I was practically in front of the restaurant...at 3:30 pm and if you are a vegetarian in unfamiliar city, you'd know how I felt like!! I had an amazingly yummy vegan Teriyaki burgers and buns were made by natural yeast and whole wheat!! Had a fantastic time!!
