Favorite Restaurant of All Time!! - Edit
Tamarind Vietnamese is the best vegan food in the entire world!! The food is so incredibly amazing!! The restaurant is family owned and everyone is so friendly and accommodating of allergies (gluten). I’m from out of town and I dream about this food when I haven’t had it for a while. When I’m in Calgary every meal is Tamarind. ❤️❤️

I had the spring rolls, the Bun Hue and something else my friend ordered (Fried rice with vegetables?). All of it was really good and we were very full afterwards. Staff is very friendly!

I had the Goi Xoai - Mango Salad and the vegetable stir fry. They both tasted so great! The mango salad was so fresh. the mango was not perfectly ripe, but it worked great because it did not overtake the other ingredients' flavours. The stir fry was so nice and had so many different flavours. I am really excited to try more. The staff is o kind.

Wonderful people, beautiful delicious food, the menu is all vegan. Tamerind has moved to a delightful space with considerably more seating. Enough that a couple would certainly be able to dine comfortably without fear in the current Covid climate.

Tamarind is a hard place to pin down. They moved to their current location on 12 Ave SW shortly before the pandemic. Menus and directions online are inconsistent (but accurate here). Like so many of the best things in a city, we heard about Tamarind from friends who have been going for years.

God, I don't want to say "love is the secret ingredient" but holy does it taste like someone has been making these meals for five hundred years and each time is the best time.
I love this place. If you eat food from Tamarind, you will too.

Our favorite vegan restaurant in Calgary - Edit
Our family has been a longtime customer and we were so pleased to see they moved to a newer, larger location. My favorite dish is the Pho Dac Biet and we also love the Pad Thai and the sizzling dish (can't remember the name). All menu items are plant-based and although we are omnivores, the food is so delicious we now make it our weekly take out treat. Check out out. You won't be disappointed.

I can't say enough good things. This was the very first full vegan restaurant that I tried when moving to Calgary and I tell people about it whenever I can! The food is traditional but modern. The pho is always a big hit and I love all the different mock meat options.

The decor as you walk almost made me want to turn around but I did well to trust my Happy Cow buddies. The Pad Thai was awesome. Definitely encouraging anyone to check this place out!

Went here due to the high reviews. The place is so dirty. I couldn’t even eat my food I just left. I wanted to give this place one star but HappyCow automatically gives it one star due to it being all vegan. I can’t believe this place is allowed to serve food.

I love their food, they have so many gluten free options and are really knowledgeable about their menu and what's in their dishes. They are super friendly and always really busy. They are fully vegan no risk of contamination with animals ❤️❤️❤️

I love tamarind! Everything here is so flavourful and delicious and filling. My faves are the curry soup bowl and the laksa. They make their own tofu and your bowl will be filled with amazing tofu, veggie ‘meats’ and colourful veggies!

Delicious Vietnamese noodle house - all vegan! - Edit
This cozy little Vietnamese restaurant has a full vegan menu, with lots of options. Good selection of appetizers, noodle soups, stir fried dishes, rice and more. I tried the curry noodle soup and the flavor was amazing! Portions were large, and prices were good too. Definitly worth seeking out if you are vegan.

We got a little lost finding this place and almost gave up because of the snow but we ended up being very delighted that we persevered. The server told us that the address implies that it is on a different street because it's part of a larger building and the sign is not well lit. Anyway, the food was really really good - tasty, fresh, imaginative and large portions. It's a small place which meant that we kept overhearing snatches of other people's comments about the food and seeing what they were ordering and everything looked amazing. One of the comments was that they made their own tofu. It certainly was amongst the best tofu I have ever eaten.
