Just okay - Edit

I had a dish with rice, seitan, and a veggie burger. It was a weird presentation. Not awful. Individual components were good, but together wasn’t appealing. It included soup (that was really good) and a small salad that had canned corned on it (not so good). My husband had the mushiest, most undercooked gnocchi we’ve ever seen. The sauce and toppings were nice.

Pros: They said they can make anything vegan

welcoming atmosphere and great food - Edit

Popped in as a solo traveller, the waiters took me under their wing and gave me free samples. Great food, wine and a live band playing accordion based covers of Nirvana. What could be better?

Pros: welcoming good food great wine live music

Cons: the wine is too good so you may end up drunk

Cute hipstery kind of place but.. - Edit

I had a vegan lasagna.
Apart from the fact that I received it reheated and a bit burned with a hard crust the flavour was nice.

Also had a salad with red cabbage that was bitter and couldn't finish it due to that.

After I received my salad the waiter put a basket with oils and other seasoning for me to use but less than a minute later and without asking me, he took the olive oil to a different customer who looked a bit regular. I thought that was rude.

Cons: should be better in communicating with the custome

beautiful - Edit

What a beautiful restaurant. Vegan items are clearly labelled and prices are very reasonable. Food and atmosphere is clean and fresh. Friendly staff who speak good English. A couple of food items up for grabs too for example, rice protein, and some superfoods in a packet to grab and go and snack on later. Only wish I had more time to go back again!

Taman is a certified organic, vegetarian and vegan restaurant. They can also provide you with a gluten-free meal every day. Their ingredients are straight from the garden to your plate, if at all possible, and from local farmers with organic certification. Taman is a place where not only your taste but all of your senses will be satisfied. The food has its original taste. The menu is planned in such a way that you won't miss selected wines, delicious cakes, coffee and hand-made croissants, sandwiches, freshly squeezed juices and smoothies.

Pros: city center, delicious taste, kind staff

After going to compromise places for the people I was travelling with, i wanted to treat myself to some real vegetarian/vegan food. This place offers it. Quality, freshness, taste and very nice staff. Recommended.

Really enjoyed this restaurant! - Edit

IF you're visiting Ljubljana just for a couple of days, you want to include Taman in your itinerary :) The food was excellent, the decor is lovely and service friendly and fast.
There's no English menu, but the waiter will translate for you. It's near the main square, just a few minutes walk, on a small shopping street. Quite easy to find.

Pros: Good food, Good service, Convenient location

Extremely positive experience - Edit

This gem is "hidden" in center of Ljubljana. Restaurant is brand new and atmosphere there is relaxing (nice chillout music). Staff is extremely friendly and educated about what they serve. My girlfriend wanted gluten free dish and it was no problem at all. We were also happy to try out new Slovenian wine from Rodica - it tasted heavenly and food pairing was just on point. Girlfriend ate gnocchi with wild garlic, coconut cream and vegan parmesan and I tried out Viola bulgur which was made with beetroot cream - my mouth was full of earthy flavours, I have never tasted something like that, compliment to the chéf. For dessert we had raw coffe cake and fruit bowl with Slovenian chocolate ice-cream.

Pros: Food, Staff, Atmosphere

Cons: It should be located near Ljubljanica river
