Not great

The menu has changed a lot from the details here in Happy Cow. Now a mish mush of foods from Thai Bao to Nepalese won tons (I had these steamed and they were awful), and other stuff

Cons: Awful food

Great atmosphere, enjoy the food!

First i really loved hearing nepalese music in the backround! Makes it a unique real experience. The manager was very friendly and helpful. 70% on their menu can be made vegan! I tried the nepalese taco (main part was a fried mash poatato with veggies =delicous fresh flavours) i also tried the vegan dessert. Sweet cooked rice wich i love we used to eat that back home in germany too. This was with dates , raisins and was nice creamy. Couldn't finish all. So the half was my brekkie for the next day. They even have a vegan lassie. But i was too full to try that too!

Pros: Most dishes can be made vegan!, Authentic atmosphere with the nepalese music.

Cons: Nothing

Great health and tasty vegan food

Found this on Happy Cow (thx HC!). Nepalese curry dishes. Really tasty and healthy.

Was too busy the first day we were in Auckland so went back at opening time the next day.

Ordered the Vegan mushroom and pea curry bowl, rotis, Aaloo Tama with black-eyed peas and bamboo shoots and Thukpaa (a soup with bok choy, noodles, tofu and more).

Was really tasty so we went back for dinner...all but one of the remaining nights we had available in Auckland so that we could try other dishes and enjoy the soup again.

So YES...both my husband and I LOVED this place. I highly recommend it.

Owned by two partners (one is the chef) from Nepal so it has both an Indian and Chinese influence. So good and highly unique.

Very cool little restaurant

Really really nice flavorful vegan options, and a lot of them!
We tried the "big baji" (a sample of different specialties with some amazing crepe on rice/soy flakes), curries, sauteed noodles and ginger veggies soup, and everything was really delicious. Plus the prices are more than reasonable AND they have a 15% student discount!
Love their poster saying:
"Students of today, leaders of tomorrow, need good food!" :)

Give it a try, it's super conveniently just off the busy part of K road.
