The best service with excellent food - Edit
The owner treated us perfectly. We didn't knew if we would have enough money to pay for dinner, and she offered to come back the next day to pay. The dinner was perfect, we highly recommend the rolls. Plus, the place was well set up, pretty and warm. Nice decoration.

Amazing food - Edit
This place...cannot say enough good things.
Read moreOnly Vietnamese people in the restaurant - staff so friendly. Beer cheap, food plentiful and delicious. All veggie. Had the Pho and the Mi Quang soups and then shared a MASSIVE plate of Banh Xeo with all the accompaniements (lettuce, coriander (but beware of the fish tasting coriander which is special for vietnam and GROSS), holy basil for the soups, cucumber). It was awesome and we ate our weight for only 90,000 dong including beers.
If you want a real vietnamese experience go here. There are so many places along the SE Asia backpacker trail that service crappy, bland vegetarian food...this is what we all are looking for. Authentic, flavoursome, delicious and truly and experience.
PS the map is not correct, it is more south towards the next intersection so keep walking and dont despair!
Pros: BANH XEO, Cheap and filling, Authentic
Cons: Wrong on the map!

Best Place In Hoi An - Edit
Don't know how this place doesn't have more 5 star reviews. Best pho I had in Vietnam. Great spring rolls that you put together yourself and great other dishes. Only thing that bothered me was I was told to get drinks out of fridge myself and all waters were definitely opened and refilled. We had a coke and sprite instead. But even with those and 3 entrees, the meal was $3.25. Do yourself and favor and go here. Big place and all locals eating there. Lovely. One girl spoke English and was very kind to us.

Great place! - Edit
I ate here a few days in a row when I was in Hoi An last month. I loved the Pho with mock meat and loads of noodles and it had some of the most flavourful broth of any of the Pho I ate in Vietnam. This place is also amazingly cheap so make sure to check it out if you're in Hoi An.

Local and cheap - Edit
The place seems to be very popular among locals. The food seems to be fresh and cheap.
Read moreHowever, the kitchen and seating area didn't seem to be clean at all... Leafy vegetables were washed in dirty water. I was afraid I would get sick after eating there. Fortunately, I didn't.
Still, it was an interesting experience to eat there.
Pros: Very cheap, A local place, Tasty food
Cons: Not a clean place at all

Lovely place - Edit
Very friendly place. I love their rice pancakes. They do have a menu in English and at least one member of staff speaks English.

Local experience - Edit
It's a simple local place that has noodle soups, mock meats, make-it-yourself springrolls and other dishes for a very low price. Communication can be a problem, but you can simply point to what you want.

Great Com Chay - Edit
They asked us if we wanted noodles or rice. My partner got rice and it came with various mock meats, a vegetable soup and some greens. It was all really good. I got the noodles and they gave me a cau lao which was also delicious. There were other mock meats and veggies at the front, so they do have some other options. They also had a great tasting home made sweet chilli sauce. And the two plates cost 30,000 vdn ($1.50), so great value. Though it is a bit out of the way, it is worth the trip.

Eating With The Locals - Edit
Had a great lunch at a place that no one spoke English. They started us off with the traditional Pho soup. Then I saw someone eating something interesting, so I went over to the person that served me, took her to the table and pointed at the food with miming that I want it too. Once we got it, I wouldn't let her leave. Again, mimed 'could you show us what to do'? She got it and so did we! No idea what it's called. We paid just over $3 lunch for 2.
