Weird definition of vegan - double-check - Edit

I added this because I guess it has to be on here, however I wouldn't go here a second time. Because of the restaurant's name, me and my partner tried to understand whether they use cow's milk and asked whether or not a dish was vegan, the waiter got unfriendly.. apparently all dishes can me made without milk or egg, but you need to ask for that e.g. pancakes.
When we payed our bill the waiter came back again and told me in an unfriendly manner that indeed there can be different definitions of vegan, that they think it means not taking a life and by using eggs you wouldn't do that. I didn't want to start a discussion but just said that internationally it's understood differently and that it might be misleading. He said I had now learned a new definition...

Apart from that: we had a burger which looked good but didn't taste of much.. I recommend the shakes though (a bit overpriced but made with soy milk). can't judge the rest of the food.. but honestly, many restaurants in Tam Coc offer veg* food.

Pros: Offers Soy milk, nice sitting in a yard

Cons: Staff thinks eggs are vegan, Some dishes are overpriced , Food is bland

tamcoc.vegan 15 Feb 2017 - Hello Tschiep,
We do apologize for the misunderstanding experiences you had, as our business mission is giving as many options to our valued customers as possible to get our guests’ satisfaction. And as those needs of using cow milk and egg – things to be dedicated we have using them as the very important additional ingredients to our food and beverage. And those always remain as some of your options.
About the price policy of our products we provide is based on some of very important factors as the cost, power, human resource, the service we bring to our guests, there is always something that we couldn't price it, because they are in the air we breathe, the sound we hear, the feeling we’ve got.
Let us say thank you very much for your contributions, and in mean time we wish you a great year ahead with happiness.
