Great Thai - Edit
We visited here with the (non-vegan) family and tried a range of dishes. All were very well cooked, tasty and fresh.
Read moreThere are a reasonable amount of vegan options but they are scattered around the menu and I really feel that that they could easily convert a few more of the dishes. They do say they are willing to adapt though.
Having said that it was nice to see a few things I don't normally see vegan on thai menus like a laab and a papaya salad, both of which were highly recommendable.
Pros: Great fresh food
Cons: Could quite easily have a few more vegan options

Good food, nice view - Edit
I was a bit dissapointed to find that there aren’t a whole lot of restaurants with vegan options in St. Ives. Talay Thai Kitchen is a good exception, with a handful of choices on the menu. It wasn’t the best thai food I’ve had but still a good diner after strolling through the town all day. The staff was super friendly and seats by the window offered a great view on the little harbor.

Good but very limited - Edit
A nice place with friendly and helpful staff, a separate but very limited vegan menu with no option for any curry, just stir frys and a couple of salads available.
Read morePortion sizes are on the small size but the food was tasty (we ordered full size dishes not tapas).
Pros: Food is nice
Cons: Portion sizes way too small for the price, Only stir-fry and salad options for vegans

Food was tasty - Edit
I am not a fan of thai cuisine but this dish was OK (Pad See Ew). It would be even better if there would be a bit more veggies, especially mushrooms. Then the dish would be perfect. I agree with previous comments that portions could be a bit bigger. The restaurant is very nicely decorated and has beautiful sea views.

Lovely Thai food - Edit
I chose the veggie Pad Thai and my boyfriend the spicy Pad Krapow. There were no tables available but they added us to a waiting list and luckily called us half an hour later. Food came in big portions and was delicious. Service was good and quick and staff were really accommodating. Would recommend and would return

Fantastic food by the sea - Edit
As we visited St Ives at the end of lockdown, we couldn't sit in restaurants and a lot in the local area limit their vegan choices to burgers and pizza. However, Talay Thai Kitchen offers a small but very tasty selection of vegetarian & vegan dishes. Really fresh ingredients and so many flavours, can't wait to try it again when we return!

Vegan Thai - Edit
You have to ask for the separate vegan options, then compare them to the main menu. I actually had all sides to make a meal and it was pretty good though a bit rich for what I’m use to with Thai food (having travelled Thailand). It’s a shame there isn’t at least one curry that couldn’t be made vegan.

Cons: Have to ask for separate menu, Portions on the smaller side, No vegan curries
