Extensive vegan menu and amazing service!

Definitely recommend this place if you are anywhere nearby! The menu is extensive and staff knowledgeable about vegan food. In a lovely little setting. Some options not available on night we visited (but these we the burgers/sausages/meatballs for our kids so nothing disappointing from a Greek food point of view!) and waitress said they would have them back tomorrow so sounds like they normally have them in. Despite this, there was so much choice! I would go back for the starters alone. Service was friendly and excellent. Children got spaghetti and chips. We got vine leaves as a starter (delicious and huge portion), the mousakka and briam with vegan feta. We also got a free generous portion of bread, homemade hummus and olives to start. Price was very reasonable. At the end they brought over free wine and free juice mocktails for our children! Then when we paid we got free fruit and a huge bottle of raki! One of the best vegan choices and service we’ve come across in Chania region.

Pros: Choice, Service, Freebies!

Lovely spot with fully vegan menu

We visited here given Happy Cow reviews. On the first time we were given the standard menu which had a good number clearly marked vegan options (humous, falafel giant beans etc) and we ordered from this. I asked the waitress whether the bread she gave us was vegan and she said it was - she then came over at the end of the meal with free drinks and said if she'd known we were vegan from the start, they have a fully vegan menu that she'd have given us.

We went back a second time and the menu was extensive with vegan versions of other greek dishes, including vegan feta. The falafels from the vegan menu weren't as good and looked totally different as the previous visit - I'm not sure why as the ones on the standard menu were marked vegan?

Really lovely service too - we left having drunk more than we'd planned to when the lovely waitress brought us free cocktails and wine at the end of dinner!

At the end of the meal they also bring out raki and ice cream - we had raki (without honey) and fruit salad which was really nice.

Lots of cute cats wandering around too!

Pros: Fully vegan menu, Lovely service, Nice location

Wonderful atmosphere and will leave very full!!!

Completely understood vegan. The menu was clearly marked with vegan options which included lots of traditional Greek dishes. I had Gemista, stuffed peppers and tomato which was delicious. As with most Greek restaurants they brought out raki (plain and honey) a desserts- they remembered I was vegan so offered me a fruit platter and another two pints of lager!! We could have rolled down the hill back to Almyrida!

Pros: Atmosphere, Many vegan options, Considered service

Vegan options!

Vegan and vegetarian options. Able to adapt some dishes to be vegan. Staff knowledgable about what is vegan and were very helpful. We went back later on our holiday and they remembered I was vegan and had even more dishes to try!
